a_classroom_key_0564Assassination Classroom

synopsis:

Forget about homework and pop quizzes. The students of Class 3E have a far more important assignment: kill their teacher before the end of the year! A tentacle-d sensei that moves at Mach 20 is out to conquer the classroom after destroying seventy percent of the moon. In addition to reading, writing, and arithmetic, the murderous monster behind the lectern will teach his students everything he knows about the assassination game. Should some eager beaver prove to be a quick study in killing, he or she will save Earth from extinction – and collect a hefty reward. But they’d better take some serious notes while class is in session because their slaughtering sensei has eight deadly tentacles just waiting to wreak havoc on humanity!

ARMITAGE III – Movie Collection

Anime Classics

Available Now! – Buy here on DVD

Finally, the original cyberpunk classic is available in one comprehensive collection. One of the first productions to enlist famous American actors such as Kiefer Sutherland [24], multiple award winner Bryan Cranston [Breaking Bad], and Juliette Lewis [Natural Born Killers], and created by a team of anime masterminds—including writers Akinori Endo [Battle Angel] and Chiaki Konaka [Serial Experiments: Lain, Hellsing]—Armitage III: The Complete Saga is a must-have for anime and sci-fi devotees.

Armitage is a brash cybernetic cop who sports a racy wardrobe and an attitude to match. Patrolling an unruly metropolis on Mars, she’s got a grudge against a society where androids are at the mercy of unsympathetic humans. In the original OVAs—also coalesced as the feature film Poly Matrix—Armitage risks everything to hunt down a vicious android killer and solve the secret to her existence. The sequel, Dual Matrix, finds her in an over-charged battle to save her loved ones from an obsessive doctor and his deadly Armitage replicas.

VR Gaming with KOR-FX – Let’s Play Alien Isolation!

Here’s the long and short of it: I don’t play scary games. I’m a huge wimp and I know my limits, thank you very much. Yet, I keep getting called back to play those kinds of titles while wearing the KOR-FX Immersive Gaming Vest… and I keep agreeing. Why? Because despite my crushing wimpiness, I actually have a lot of fun with it.

When I was first asked to try out the vest, the team set me up to play the Silent Hills demo, P.T.

(THANKS, GUYS.) Playing the game was terrifying. Feeling the game was an entirely different beast, as evidenced by the image below.

Screen Shot 2015-03-23 at 4.02.56 PM

Hint: I’m the flailing creature on the left.

This time around,  I suited up to play Alien Isolation. Not exactly a “scary” game, but scary enough for me. I was thrown in at about the 40-minute mark and though I didn’t encounter a huge amount of actual Aliens at that point, I almost didn’t need to. The vest allowed me to experience a real level of tension that was both nerve-racking and exhilarating. Check out some of the highlights from my playthrough and see why my mom is so proud of me:

Some of you may be asking, “What is the KOR-FX vest?” so I’ve got a quick break-down for you:

Yurikuma Arashi terminology change

shock

Attention Yurikuma Arashi fans! We are making a slight terminology change in the series and wanted to let you know. Early on in the series we realized that one of the approved terms we were using, ‘Kumalia,’ would be better displayed as ‘Kumaria’ in keeping with the series’ themes. We approached the licensor with this recommendation and have now received approval for the term change, which we are implementing immediately into future subtitled episodes starting with episode 11, and into future Broadcast Dub episodes as well.
