We’ve got two releases for you on this New Release Tuesday. First up, Steins;Gate – Part One on BD/DVD Combo! If you’re a time travel aficionado, then don’t miss out on this series! Digital fans can also download the series via their Xbox and PlayStation later today, with episode 1 FREE for a limited time.

series synopsis:

The microwave is a time machine. Okarin proved it. The self-anointed mad scientist nuked bananas into some gelatinous version of the future. Or maybe it was the past. Doesn’t matter. No one thought he could do it, but he did it anyway. He sent text messages through time to people he knew. To his friends. Some of them female. Pretty. He should have been more careful. He should have stopped. Tampering with the time-space continuum attracts unwelcome attention. Clandestine organizations of nefarious origins take notice. SERN. Always watching. Okarin knows; he can feel their eyes. That s why he started the top secret Future Gadget Lab. To stop them. You should join. We get to wear lab coats, and it’s dangerous. Danger is exciting because it’s deadly. The microwave is a time machine.

If you’re fans of the series, then be sure to outfit your future gadgets with these FREE Steins;Gate downloads.

  • Mobile wallpapers for iOS and Android devices
  • Facebook Cover photos and avatars
  • Animated GIFs of some of your favorite scenes

But, I promised you two releases today, didn’t I? We also have One Piece: Collection Eight on DVD available now! This is the last of the Collections, and now you’ve got Season 4 Voyages to look forward to.

synopsis:

The Straw Hats go from sailing on a cloud to being surrounded by Marines in this unedited twenty-seven episode collection of awesome! Lightning bolts rain from the heavens and innocent citizens run for cover as Luffy and Eneru go toe to toe to determine the fate of Skypiea. The heinous holy man has Angel Island by the throat, and Nami and Luffy must risk their lives in a desperate attempt to chase away his looming cloud of death! When the final bell rings, the Straw Hats find themselves plummeting toward the Marine stronghold of Navarone! This impenetrable island is surrounded by stone walls, and the only hope for escape is a daring dash into the freedom of the deep blue sea. The sailing certainly won’t be smooth, and it’ll take all hands on deck to survive this scrape!

series synopsis:
Kazuyoshi Katayama, the director of Appleseed and the Big O series unleashes a violent survival film in which the distinction between dream and reality dissolves. Panic spreads worldwide as the Medousa Virus-a fatal pandemic that solidifies the body to stone-threatens to wipe out the human race. 160 infected individuals are selected to be cryogenically frozen while a cure is developed. Kasumi is one of those chosen for the experimental program. Forced to enter without her twin sister, Shizuku, her distress multiplies when she awakens to find the facility overrun with thick, thorny vines and ravenous monsters. As Kasumi and six others fight a losing battle to escape this labyrinthine nightmare, questions cloud her distorted mind. Where is her sister? Why did their only salvation mutate into a deathtrap? If they survive, how much longer do they have to live?

Series Synopsis

This extraterrestrial adventure follows the alien genius, Prince Baka (masterfully portrayed by anime legend Vic Mignogna) as he turns life on Earth into his own personal laugh track. The Prince has the biggest brain in the galaxy, and he’s also a sadistic prankster who loves to make humans squirm. Anime fans will fall hard for this nostalgic, “undeniably clever” series that spoofs the television shows, video games, and superheroes they loved as kids. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll remember that thing you did that was super mean – but also super hilarious. (Don’t worry, you won’t get grounded.) So yeah, Level E. The alien invasion has begun. Prepare to die – laughing.

Here’s a first look at the dub!

For you fae-natics out there, we just launched the Season 1 trailer forLost Girl available on Blu-ray & DVD October 23, 2012.  You can pre-order now on Amazon!

Those of you who have followed the series on SyFy already know what it’s all about, but for newbies to Lost Girl, here is a little about our favorite succubus and her group of fae friends — and enemies.

Season 1 Synopsis:
Bo is a gorgeous renegade. An irresistible beauty. And a deadly succubus. For years, she had no idea what she was or why every new lover died in the throes of passion. She fled one corpse after another until a chance encounter with the puckish thief Kenzi exposed Bo s existence to the Fae. This ancient society of supernatural beings exists outside the realm of mere mortals. Within their world, there are only two sides: Light and Dark. Each member of the Fae must choose who they will serve. But not Bo. Driven to discover who she really is, Bo vows to live on her own terms even if it means existing in the abyss between darkness and light. With the help of the mischievous, but loyal, Kenzi, the handsome shapeshifter Dyson, and the beautiful human scientist Lauren, Bo will use her powers of seduction to unravel the riddle of her mysterious past.

In the trailer, you might notice a new motion logo.  FUNimation is launching the imprint Giant Ape Media, who’s primary focus will consist of live action titles of all genres.
