One Hell of an Announcement

UPDATE: Sheesh, people. Ian Sinclair had our full permission to reveal the Black Butler 2 Cast List and OVA announcement at Matsuricon. So, please stop sending him threatening e-mails and hiring ninjas to attack him…

You’ve seen the first season of Aniplex’s “Black Butler” and you’ve probably already suspected that we’ll be bringing you the second season in 2012 (well, more liked begged us on Facebook and on the website)– but the Season 2 secret we’ve been saving was shared by ADR director Ian Sinclair atMatsuricon this past weekend. Since the cat’s out of the bag, let’s just make it official:

Playing the roles of a new butler, Claude Faustus, is Jason Douglas; a new charge, Alois Trancy, is Luci Christian; and maid, Hanna Annafellows, is Caitlin Glass.

We also have the rights to the 5 OVAs of this supernatural series.

  • OVA 01 (Wonderland Part 01 and 02)
  • OVA 02 (Welcome to the Phantomhives)
  • OVA 03 (Making Of )
  • OVA 04 (The Intention of Spider)
  • OVA 05 (The Story of Will the Reaper)

Look for these demons on DVD in 2012.

Synopsis of Series:

Ciel Phantomhive was born into a life of luxury, only to have his beloved parents brutally murdered before his eyes. Wrought with grief and tortured by the very fiends who killed his mother and father, Ciel summoned the services of an exquisite butler born of the fires of hell. Together, they’ll turn merry old England on its ear while hunting the mysterious villains who made Ciel an orphan.

Fans of the deranged escapades of Sebastian and Ciel will be perversely delighted by a new season of demonic adventures. Claude exists only to serve his young master, Alois: a boy who no doubt carries a dark secret.

NEW Hetalia Cast Members Announced!

Have you heard? It’s hot. Yeah, I know, right?!

As such, now that it is time to announce a few more of the cast members brought into the world that is Hetalia, we have opted to focus on the Nordics. Two reasons: it’s cold there and we are partial to puffins.

You already know that the Netherlands is represented by Michael Sinternikklas, Finland by Clint Bickham and Iceland by Jason Leibrecht.

Now we are happy to share that Denmark is played by Montgomery Sutton, Norway by Alex Organ and Sweden by Robert McCollum.

Yah, it’s true.

Also, if you are in Ohio, visiting Ohio, or like Ohio, many of the Hetalia cast members are attending Matsuricon in Columbus this weekend.

Our awesome actors will be signing Hetalia movie posters and postcards so go on by and get their autographs and sing them the Hetalia theme song.

Meanwhile, you California fans can see Robert McCollum in Fresno at AniJam. Go by and say something Swedish if you would.

Then you can go to Amazon and pre-order the Hetalia movie PAINT IT, WHITE. Here’s the link:

It’s a pretty exciting day in the office today. Remnant Knights is going beta today at noon PST. So, I know what I’m doing this afternoon…seriously, it’s research…

But all kidding aside, I’m really looking forward to this game. I’ll admit, I enjoy a good MMORPG, and I’m definitely going to be playing this one. Who knows? Maybe I’ll see you in town? I’m still trying to decide what class I’m going to play. You really can’t go wrong with any of them. See below for a little teaser clip on each class.

Back in June, we announced that we were forging a strategic alliance with GameSamba to bridge a relationship between online gaming and the anime world. Below you’ll find a press release about the beta for their free-to-play MMORPG, Remnant Knights.

Everett, Washington – August 16, 2011- GameSamba announced today that its free-to-play MMORPG, Remnant Knights, is entering open beta. Servers will be made available for play starting at noon PST on Tuesday, August 16th. All players who create accounts at www.remnantknights.comwill gain immediate access to the open beta. During this final phase, players will be able to reach level 60. In addition, all zones will be made available for players to enjoy and explore.

Remnant Knights is an anime-inspired MMORPG with a story written by DC Comics’ 2010 Eisner award winning graphic novelist, Jim Krueger, and quests written by a variety of publisher authors including Hunter Brown series creators, Chris and Alan Miller. Players will experience the amazing world of Kasmari, and learn that they are the last line of defense against an ancient threat that has returned. After choosing one of the three basic areas of study — Gun Circle, Magic Circle or Fight Circle — players begin honing their skills at either the Owl or Dragon School. At level 10, players will have the option to specialize into classes such as the Dual Gunner and Heavy Launcher.

In addition to its fast-paced combat, Remnant Knights offers many other features, including player housing, crafting, multiple PvP arena modes, unique mounts, pets, fishing, player costumes, and more.

Like other GameSamba titles, and unlike many free MMORPG’s on the market, Remnant Knights will be fully GM staffed. Remnant Knight GMs will be available 24/7 and in addition to helping players will be busy running various events and competitions – some of which will feature prizes from the Anime powerhouse and GameSamba partner FUNimation.

Hey Canada! Help us help you!

We attended Anime North in Toronto this year with an exhibit hall booth and several panels. At our booth, we created a survey and had 1,000 people fill them out. We loved the feedback and now want to ask the same questions to all of Canada.

We really appreciate your help in taking this survey so we can better serve all of Canada to get better access to anime.

All of this info will be safe and never sold to a third party – we hate spam too.

We’ll select 5 people who have completed the survey and they will win a DVD or Blu-ray of their choice.

Thank you for participating in our survey. Your feedback is important to us.

The Pictorians have arrived from deep in space. They also have dangly glow-balls on their heads, which is kinda cool, but still. The freaky aliens are using use their crazy rainbow-beam-thingy to paint everything on Earth the same color: white! See, now the title of the movie makes more sense, right? Anyway, if the Pictorians are to be stopped, the Allied guys and the Axis boys – plus some new characters, too – must set aside their differences, unite against their common foe, and hopefully get together for a sweaty work-out to make sure they’re super-ready to save the world!
