FUNimation Series “Attack on Titan” to Air on Toonami Block

 

 

Flower Mound, TX – (April 12, 2014)  Adult Swim, the cable and satellite network paired with Cartoon Network, announced today that it will begin airing Attack on Titan during the popular anime programming block known as Toonami.  The series is scheduled to begin airing on Saturday, May 3rd at 11:30 pm ET.

 

Attack on Titian joins other FUNimation Entertainment® series Space Dandy, One Piece, Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood and Black Lagoon currently airing on the network.

 

 

SERIES SYNOPSIS:

When the man-eating giants called Titans first appeared, humans retreated behind massive walls. After a hundred years of safety, a colossal-sized Titan smashes through the defenses, unleashing a flood of giants and carnage in the streets. Eren Jaeger watches helplessly as one of the creatures devours his mother. He vows to kill every Titan walking the earth. Eren and his surviving friends enlist to fight against the insatiable monsters. The future looks bleak, but there’s more to Eren than meets the eye: he may be humanity s last hope against extinction. From the director of Death Note and High School of the Dead comes the series Anime News Network calls an intense, visceral, and graphic thrill ride. The Titans have come to feast. Anything can happen. No one is safe.

Black Lagoon Joins Toonami Line-up Starting March 22

One of the best action anime of all time is heading to Toonami, and it’s going to kick all kinds of ass! That’s right, Black Lagoon will be joining Toonami’s line-up starting March 22nd. It’ll be replacing Soul Eater once it ends in the 1:30am ET time slot.

 

So, are you ready to see the crew of Black Lagoon on television!?

 

If you’ve never seen the series, here’s a synopsis for you:

 

Rokuro’s mundane trip to South East Asia turns from pleasure cruise to festival of pain when modern-day pirates take him hostage. Revy, Dutch, and Benny are the ruthless crew of the Black Lagoon. For them, getting shot at while smuggling drugs, guns, and stolen goods is part of a typical day at work – and Rokuro is joining the team.

SPACE DANDY to be broadcast simultaneously in Japan and North America

Flower Mound, TX – (October 25, 2013) It was announced today that Adult Swim will broadcast the English dub version of “Space Dandy” on television in North America beginning January 2014. This is the first time an anime series on Adult Swim will have a simultaneous TV broadcast with Japan. In addition to Japan and North America, the show will have a simulcast broadcast in numerous countries in Asia.

 

FUNimation Entertainment (a Group 1200 Media Company) has announced that it has acquired the home entertainment, digital, theatrical, and merchandise rights to the animated sci-fi action series. English production will be done by FUNimation Entertainment, in association with the Space Dandy Production Committee in Japan.

Synopsis:
