Release Dates for .hack//SIGN, .hack//Legend of Twlight, .hack//Roots, and .hack//G.U. Trilogy

Just announced at New York Comic Con, we have release dates for the .hack franchise! In addition, Nekocon will be screening the first episodes of .hack//SIGN, .hack//Legend of Twilight, and .hack//Roots at their convention this year.

 

Nekocon is located in Hampton Roads, VA and will take place on November 7th – 9th this year. Click here for more about the convention.

.hack was more than just an anime. It’s was a cultural phenomenon that transformed the way an entire generation looked at the world around them. This wildly-successful franchise offered us all the chance to escape. Thanks to .hack, we no longer had to be normal. We could delve into The World in search of adventure. We could run dungeons, collect treasure, and lose ourselves in virtual labyrinths. Each new installment was a melding of future and past where the rules of reality no longer applied. .hack was our ticket to the wired world, and we couldn’t wait to logon.

 

Tsukasa awakens inside The World, an immense online RPG filled with monsters, magic, and mayhem. When he discovers he’s unable to log out of this mysterious game, he joins forces with a colorful group of characters and begins a desperate quest to find his way back to real life.

On Sunday October 12th a Panel of Street Fighter experts share the latest news on the greatest fighting game franchise in the world! Find out about the latest updates for Ultra Street Fighter IV and how you can earn big money and everlasting fame by competing in the Capcom Pro Tour culminating in the Capcup Finals in December. Special Guest Joey Ansah – Writer, Director and Actor – of the smash hit Street Fighter: Assassin’s Fist web series makes an exclusive appearance to share behind-the-scenes details of making the excellent film, share a sneak peek at Giant Ape Media’s upcoming Blu-Ray/DVD release as well as answer Q&A. Following the highly successful theatrical release in August, the movie releases today, Oct 7th, on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD! Fans can relive the epic theatrical event with the Extended Edition Blu-ray Combo pack, which features 20 mins of never-before-seen footage. It also includes the theatrical version of the film, as well as 30 minutes of extra features, both of which are not available on the standard DVD version.

 

You don’t want to miss this! IGN noted the movie has “some of the most exhilarating fight scenes I’ve ever seen.” Fans love the stunning animation, epic new villains, action, and comedy of the film. They called the English dub “phenomenal”.

 

To celebrate the release, two of the starring voice actors from the Dragon Ball Z franchise, Sean Schemmel and Chris Sabat, will attend the New York Comic Con October 10th-11th.

 

In addition to signing autographs for the fans at FUNimation’s Booth #1520, on Friday and Saturday from 3:30pm – 4:30pm, the adored actors will appear on the official Twitch livestream at the Twitch booth on Friday October 10 from 12-1pm.

 

Sean Schemmel plays the voice character of GOKU in the Dragon Ball megaseries as well as voices in Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Lupin III and Ah! My Goddess. Schemmel is also an ADR director and screenwriter and has provided voices for a number of English versions of Japanese anime, television series, and video games.

 

Chris Sabat has a multitude of skills including screenwriter, ADR director but for Dragon Ball Z, plays the voices of: VEGETA, PICCOLO, SHENRON, YAMCHA, BUBBLES and more. He also appears in Ghost in the Shell: Arise, Samurai 7, Fullmetal Alchemist and has video game roles in AEon Flux, BloodRayne 2 and The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct!

 

Both men have years of experience creating amazing anime works and have a lot stories to share about the creativity that goes behind making the incredibly popular Dragon Ball Z franchise.
