Meet the boys of SHONEN HOLLYWOOD! Our new simulcast show, SHONEN HOLLYWOOD –HOLLY STAGE FOR 49– (streaming just one hour after Japanese broadcast at!) is all about Japanese pop idols and the dreams of five boys aiming to sing and dance their ways into the hearts of thousands of fans. Catch  it every Saturday at 1:30 pm ET.


In episode 1, the boys practice their self-introductions, but it turns out that twirling around in sparkles while saying a cutesy line about being your fans’ boyfriend or sharing the universe with them is really freaking embarrassing. Kakeru Kazami

Voice actor: Ryota Osaka, known for roles like Sadao Maou (The Devil is a Part Timer!) and Marco (Attack on Titan)

Kakeru, our seventeen-year-old protagonist, is just an ordinary teenager who hasn’t had much time to think about his future. He was suddenly scouted from his part-time job at a café, so he still isn’t really used to this whole idol thing…

Daiki Tomii

Voice Actor: Shota Aoi, known for roles like Ai Mikaze (Uta no Prince-sama)

Cheery fifteen-year-old Daiki absolutely idolizes the original SHONEN HOLLYWOOD and watches their videos over and over. He’s really into the idea of idols living in the world of ~dreams~ and・゚✧sparkles✧゚・.




Ikuma Amaki

Voice actor: Tetsuya Kakihara, known for roles like Natsu Dragneel (Fairy Tail) and Shin (Amnesia)

Ikuma, nicknamed “Makki,” is the group’s eighteen-year-old center—the term for the lead vocalist of an idol group. He dropped out of high school, but he possesses some surprisingly deep philosophies on idols.




Kira Saeki

Voice Actor: Daiki Yamashita, known for roles like Sakamichi Onoda (Yowamushi Pedal)

As the token cutie and youngest member, fourteen-year-old Kira is a sweet-faced child star who naturally ・゚✧sparkles✧゚・. He’s actually pretty serious about being an idol and has an amazing talent for it acting idol-like without a shred of humiliation.




Shun Maiyama

Voice Actor: Kensho Ono, known for roles like Tetsuya Kuroko (Kuroko no Basket)

Don’t call him “Shun-Shun!” Fifteen-year-old Shun is rather snarky and slightly stubborn, but his personality is still playful and cool.
