I have heard rumors of a Season 3 coming out. Anyone know anymore knowledge on this?
Unfortunately, they are only rumors. There have been possible hint and clues (like this) and facts that would support the probability of a new season (like the second season selling well). But there has not been any official announcement of a new season. You're best bet for hearing about a new season is probably ANN.
It's been a while, are there any more rumors (or facts, announcements) about a 3rd season? What is ANN? A 3rd season would be wonderful, though difficult, almost a whole different story. They should do more OVAs or flashbacks. I would love to see more of Alois, everybody ended up loving him! they could do more based on the Manga series. Maybe we could start a petition? Well, just an idea! I guess it all depends on how well the 2nd season DVDs sold. they came out in April, anybody know how well they sold?
Still nothing official. ANN (Anime News Network) is a news site about anime, manga, other otaku things (like Vocaloids), and anything remotely related to them. They're a good, reliable source for anime/manga news. I haven't heard anything about how well season 2 sold in the US, but that wouldn't really matter to the people who make the anime. Japanese companies don't really care about foreign markets all that much.
In response to elaine: we fully support a "petition" for a Season 3:) We would love to see another season as we weren't completely satisfied with the conclusion to Season 2.
I'm not sure if there's going to be a season three but it's official that they are making a Kuro movie:
