I would definitely have to go with Tanaka. whats better than a short bald man who does nothing all day but drink tea and laugh. Second would be a tie between Grell, because he is just so frickin weird and i...i... just yeah how da heck, and Sebastian cause he is simply on hell of a butler.
Sebastian and Ciel, of course. But I like Prince Soma and Madame Red. whatever happened to the prince? Everybody who's seen BB2 seems to love Alois, I probably will too when I view it. what about a BB3? they could bring Alois back in some way, couln't they? or have flashbacks? How about a BB 1.5?
After much thought, my favorite is Inspector Abberline. he's just so good! Kind, honest, noble, courageous. Like a true knight w/o the shining armor or blue bloodline. he's from a poor family and his parents were murdered like Ciel's, but somehow he turned out OK, even w/o riches, a title or a magical butler. He's not quiete perfect (got his girlfriend pregnant) but does the right thing in hurrying to marry her. he is forced to obey a malecoius supervisor, but does the right thing in helping Ciel when everybody seems to have abdonded the kid in jail. In the "Ice" episode, he nearly risks his life rescueing criminals from the icewater. Besides Prince Soma, he seems to be the only real friend that Ciel has, if not a friend, he at least cares about the kid. I think it's no accident that Ciel doesn't have friends. It's in Sebatian's best interest to keep people away from Ciel, he doesn't want the boy's affections focused on somebody else. Lizzie and Soma are apparrently harmless acceptions. He was really jealus of Abberline when the inspector got along w/ Undertaker and won Ciel's admiration. the fact that the man is based on the real Inspector Abberline who really lived in Victorian England and worked on the Jack the Ripper case makes him even more interesting. In anime, the worst fates happen to the noblest men.
doesn't anybody disagree? I kind of like Undertaker now the best, since I'm on the second season and Abberline's twin is such a fool. Undertaker is not only supernatural, but kind of a friend to to Ciel too, and not a threat to Sebastian

Alois is an interesting charater. At first glance he's just a mean-spirited kid but when you get deeper into his history, his malicous personality makes more sense. his early childhood was so horrible! At the very end, he just wanted love! there's more to Claude than meets the eye too.
not my favorite character though. When it comes down to it, I really like the nice, kind people. Abbline, Lizzie, Soma and Agni. Undertaker and Grell, plus Will are very intriging people too.
