Re: Birdy The Mighty General Series Discussion Thread
I just have to say the English dub cast is fantastic. To the point that it actually makes the series more enjoyable than I originally found it to be. (Then again, the entire second season kinda garnered my attention more than the first, so that may be partially responsible as well.) Been watching it via Netflix recently, and the DVD's are definitely toward the top of my shopping priority list.
This wasn't even a series I'd expected to see licensed as soon as it was, but I'm glad they picked it up. Bravo, FUNi.
Re: Birdy The Mighty General Series Discussion Thread
I had seen the original and thought it was a fun idea. When they announced the new show I was very excited and when Funimation said they were picking it up I was extremely excited. They did not disappoint when it came to the dub track and I'm currently having a few friends watch the show.
Re: Birdy The Mighty General Series Discussion Thread
all i can say is i was hopping for a season 3 but to no avail
so u ppl think there will be season 3?
but yes i loved it tooo much! finished entire series in 2 days! couldnt get off my seat!
Re: Birdy The Mighty General Series Discussion Thread
Given the poor DVD sales over in Japan, I don't see a season 3 happening. The US sales would have to be pretty strong for them to consider making another season.
Re: Birdy The Mighty General Series Discussion Thread
It's too bad, unfortunately because there are still many loose ends.
If you go by the OVA, one of the main characters is Chrisella Revi. She appears only once at the end of episode 13. She is the woman in the car with Gomez. Never intorduced, only mentioned.

The story could go a number of places given the extra material in the manga, but I think they tied up pretty much everything that was relevant in both seasons.

I'd love to see third season, but as far as I can tell, there's been no news since the second season ended.
I still wish someone would bring the manga to the states.
