Basilisk is a beautiful story. It's kind of like the story "Romeo & Juliet" meets ninjas :ninja: . But the thing that really makes it so good is that there is more than just two families bickering which keeps these two love birds away from each other. The Iga and the Kouga clans hate each others guts so much that there had to be a third party member to stop the blood shed. Then, pushing Genoske-sama and Oboro-dono further apart is the Emperor of Japan and his two sons! Which ever clan can finish the other one off first decides the next emperor (which is just ludicrus in my opinion). And so Basilisk is not you're average retelling of a classic story.

Basilisk is truly a beautiful and heartwrenching tale of two ninjas from opposing clans that struggle to maintain their love for one another during a time of great war between their families. It is not a story that is meant to have one choosing sides, but rather mourn the losses on both sides and yet still hope for peace. Basilisk is perfect for those seeking action, romance, and drama all in one lovely bundle.
