This is a new low in terms of Anime Licensing
This is basically an anime about a girl who dreams to be a slut, This is what this anime (B-Gata H-Kei) is all about
I think FUNimation should've picked up both Ginga Nagareboshi Gin and Ginga Densetsu Weed due to they are less likely to get FUNimation in hot water with parental groups and feminist organizations

You don't have to watch it. Just let everyone else enjoy it.
B Gata is actually a sweet romantic comedy that happens to have adult content. The manga is written by a woman.
The B Gata streams will be age-gated and the physical release will be rated TVMA. I doubt we'll have any parent or feminist groups come after us. They would have already done so for Strike Witches and Dance in the Vampire Bund.
The ratings clearly mark the shows as being for a mature older audience, not for children. Parent's groups would be 1) wasting their time and 2) not doing anything to "protect" their precious angels anyway.
And why would feminists have a problem, they've promoted sexual freedom for years! Sophie, I actually think feminist groups might like Strike Witches and Vampire Bund if they focused on the plot rather than the fanservice. Both series are about strong women. The whole 501st are strong fighters and the major male character was a villain while Mina is a queen who only needs Akira because she's too busy leading to do all the hard work of fighting!
Really, if anything, I'd think protests would be useful since it would give every rebelling teen a list of shows they could buy to annoy their parents! (And any woman who'd buy these shows to begin with is probably too much of a free-thinker to be pestered into not buying them.)
I'm curious if the OP has watched the show yet. He makes a very clear statement of what the show is about but summaries can be deceiving.

ITs understandable that some people may not like this series. To them I say, Fine don't watch it. But for the rest of us. We will watch it and enjoy it.
I reject your reality and replace it with my own.
I agree with the others who have posted here, if you don't like it, don't watch it. I will say I too am adimantly against the majority of anime like this, but over the years I've realized whining & complaining about it does nothning. (Well aside from make me feel better, lol.)
I can fully understand where you are coming from Cyber, but well.....your kind of overreacting.
And yeah shows like this may not be everyones cup of tea, but, for better or worse they sale, and some of that money can be used to acquire titles of higher quality.

Is this really coming out winter of 2012? That is a forever from now.
Heck, they say controversy sells so maybe the key to success is licensing more "controversial" series. Besides, again, no one cares about this. The morality police, who give religious and politcal conservatives like me a bad name, are barely even aware of the existence of anime. What little has reached the drive-by media has been about the Death Note "hit lists" (and the real story there is punishing kids for non-violent emotional venting or even flat out BS lies told against them) and the Naruto "sand ninja" thing (wow, kid, I'm sad you're dead but having people bury you alive in sand to imitate a jutsu that kills people? Not a wise decision.)
Most of these fan-made "controversies" never get beyond fans worrying about what other people who don't buy anime think about fans. I hate to be a bearer of bad news but any niche fandom is viewed as inferior to mainstream ones. You can strip naked and paint yourself in a football team's colors to cheer in negative degree weather while sweaty men tackle each other and throw and kick a ball around but if you cosplay, you're a freak. (See the news articles written about events like Dragon Con, Comic Con and so forth.)
It's funny that all the tech we were told would make our lives easier has just given us larger work loads and a more frantic pace to live. A few decades ago, people weren't nearly as stressed out.

@Richard J: Why thank you good sir.
But yeah, I can see why some fans worry about controversy, honestly I was worried Bund might get funi (or me for buying it) In trouble when it was 1st announced, but it didn't nothing bad happened to Funimation or those who bought the show. I can relate with Cyber, its easy to worry about things these days (for the modern world has turned us all into negative worrywarts it seems) But yeah, like with so many others, the show will come out, people who like it will buy it, and cermudgines like me will be walking through the anime isle ranting on how theres to much ecchi anime on it, lol. But overall, neither Funimation or the fans will be any worse for wear.

Does Winter 2012 mean December of 2012 or January of 2012?
January 2012 isn't that long of a wait but December 2012 is really far off (still a few months until December 2011).

If you did get in trouble, you could sue and win!
I honestly think a lot of the cases where people have gotten into trouble have occurred in part due to people not having the money or will to fight the charges or lacking competant representation. (Some lawyers are moronic scum. Which is part of why I want to be a lawyer, to represent the profession the way I believe it should be!)
