The "Controversy" Over This

I've read in a few places that other publishers and civilians sent threatening letters to the producers saying mean things. It also said that they were dealing with it at the moment with police.

I recently watched the whole season on [ripping site that rips off Funi and others] on the media players Megavideo and Video BB. I felt like watching it again yesterday since it is just such a great show and noticed that when I clicked play on both media players, it said, "This video has either been deleted by the uploader or is in breach of a copyright holder." I freaked out when I saw this, and am now thinking that the "Publishers and Civilians" are now winning and that the videos are now being taken off the internet.

I watched it on Hulu for a while but was upset to find that is was censored (some censors were unnecessary). There is one place left to view that I found so far, which is on another site under another media player, which I seem to notice the website and media player aren't as popular as the ones who were deleted, giving them less risk of the show being taken off.

In my opinion, this is stupid. I've seen Sekirei, which shows like 30 x more boobs than this show. I understand that this is about teens having sex, but how could it turn some viewers gay(I read in another article)? In any way it should make some guys want girls more, lol.

I also created a smaller version of a chart for the sexual consent (I was bored) between US-NY and Japan, this is ridiculous:

I think that if we want a second season to be released (considering the tons of un-answered questions) we should try to step up against those people threatening the producers and make some petition to be sent around.

This is one of my favorite series so far, and is the only one that I can stand to watch over and over again. I, and many others, hope that we can get this done.

-Kyle

Seriously?

It had nothing to do with the content of the show, I've never even heard of people threatening production companies over content before. I mean, Kodomo no Jikan got an anime adaptation for f*ck sakes.

You were watching pirated streams and the people who ran megavideo were arrested by the FBI earlier this week and all of their content was removed.

Funimation offers the whole thing subbed for free streaming. If you want an uncensored dub, go buy the DvDs like everyone else.

The mega vid site like REn said. Was shut down by th eFBI. you can see the artical on ANN and few other places.
Though I have heard of people complaing about the show but not the threating letters. But honestly that wouldn't suprise me either.

I am sorry to 'upset' you, but I wouldn't really pay to watch. Now this show, maybe, because it's such a good show, but any others I rather watch online. Plus my friends would think I'm weird for buying DVD's for these types of things >_<. Would buy though if I had the extra money.

Fine, that's your own moral prerogative. But I hope you at least realize how dumb it is to post links to illegal content on the official forums of a legitimate anime distribution company like Funimation? Or why people around here are going to be upset about piracy?

Re: The "Controversy" Over This

I've watch the subbed version of the show on Hulu, and though there is now a dub version of the show with some of my favorite voice actresses, I can only imagine that the series is gonna sound just as (if not more) awkward then the subbed. But anyway, If you've read my review in the "Review tab", I've said that I would NOT re-watch the show again. Honestly, the plot idea of Yamada TRYING so hard to lose her [Golden Cherry] and (to make matters worse if not already worse enough) trying to [do it] with One Hundred different guys enough raises TOO MANY red flags just from reading what the series is about (more of less watching the trailer). To be honest, I thought (and I'm sure I'm not the only who thought this) based on what I've read, and watched up to the final episode, I thought that Yamada WAS gonna [lose it] with Takashi Kosuda, and there WERE events that was leading up to that point in the final episode, but No, they did not "seal the deal". So (to me) the series was almost a waste of time, because I would hope that for any anime series/movie that when your trying to gain (or in this case lose) something, I would hope that you'd do what you were trying to do and end the series on a high note, but no. Not in the case of "Yamada". It did have its funny moments. I'll give it that, and If (and I doubt) there comes a season 2 and it's released on Hulu, Sure! I'll watch it, BUT if there comes a season 2, then (and I'm just guessing) that either A. Yamada dose "do" what she said she was going to do, although that would make the series much more weird and awkward then it already is, or B. Yamada realizes that what she WANTS to do is dumb and forgets her "dream", and that too would make the series more weird and awkward and would probably make all the "dirty" boys think, "what was the point of all that?" Come to think of it, WHAT made Yamada want to "lose it" and "do it" with so many men in the first place? In Fact, WHY would it be a dream to "lose it" and "do it" if AT ALL? Again, I wouldn't re-watch the series, but I do think it was well put together, so I'll give the series another point for that. I know there are people who would want to see a season 2, but I don't know how or how anyone except the creator can think of how it can continue from where it ended cause a lot of people (at least from what I'm reading) didn't like how it ended. So on that note, I don't think there will be a season 2, but instead this will be one of those series where we'll have to use our imagination on what happens after.

That's about it.
Try and read that fast. lol.

Does anyone know when the rest of the dubbed episodes will be available to stream?

Amazon streaming has them or you can also purchase them per episode from Amazon. I watched the first five episodes from the Funimation cable channel, and then purchased the other seven episodes in HD from Amazon for $2.99 each.

But, if you have Amazon Prime, all the dubbed episodes are supposedly available for streaming. Although if I had it over again I would have just purchased the Blu-ray Disc.
