Re: Why has funimation been taking longer to release their dub acquisitions?
Thanks everyone for all the feedback! I was assuming it was something like that, But was unaware that it still took so longer for them to release their dubs even though them having so many to dub!

C3 was never announced for a home video release (at least to my knowledge).
Does that mean funimation isn't planning on releasing a dub for C3?? Because I thought funmation released a dub for every titles they licensed! That's why I support them the best I can with paying for elite. (Even though I don't watch hardly anything.) C3 and guilty crown are the only titles I really care about that funimation has licensed in the past two years!! It'd be devastating to me if they weren't planning to make a dub for either one of these animes!!

I checked on ann and it only showed Germany as the only European licensor other than the UK, so don't know why france was mentioned. Not to mention, Funi hasn't began dubbing shana III yet, and it's going to be doubtful who will voice Yuji since Grelle is already transitioning to become a woman known as Mina Grelle. Hold up, Funi's already getting Haganai and Maken Ki dubbed?
1. Some German distributors also market to France, or the French distributor just hasn't been listed yet.
2. While FUNimation's typical mantra is to announce as the ink dries on the contract, Shana III could be considered an outstanding case as Season 2 and the movie and OVAs have yet to release in the US. Would not surprise me in the least if they announce it at a January convention for an intended release date of April or May.
3. Gender reassignment surgery and the hormones that come with it generally don't affect your voice that much. Just look at Maddie Blaustein.
4. Yep, Haganai and Maken-Ki are already in production (Well, Haganai is no surprise to me, they've had that from pretty much the beginning). Maken-Ki was likely in the early stages of production when they announced it.

@Domayv
It's being released in France as a half season combo pack by the company Kaze. There's a listing for it on Amazon France.
@codegeass
FUNimation dubs everything they get home video rights for. They only have streaming rights for C3, not home video. So no dub for C3 at the moment. Guilty Crown will be dubbed since it's getting release on dvd/blu ray sometime next year.

Theres no plans for an english dub at this time, but anything is possible in the future, just have to wait & see.
Re: Why has funimation been taking longer to release their dub acquisitions?
@Soundmonkey44: Do they even attempt to gain home video rights for certain animes? I've seen a fair amount on here that are sub only with no mention of even a small chance of ever getting dubbed. I can understand all of the trouble that could be, but I'm curious to know since it doesn't appear so. But then, I'm not as knowledgeable about these things as most. Barely at all truthfully.

Re: Why has funimation been taking longer to release their dub acquisitions?
They don't go for everything, no. Just because they simulcast it doesn't mean they'll release it on DVD/BD. Tatami Galaxy and Rainbow, for example, were simulcast a while ago and have not been announced for home video.
Re: Why has funimation been taking longer to release their dub acquisitions?
Yeah sometitmes Funi just gets the dital rights while later anothe comapy may get the home rights to a series. They do get alot of home right for alot of th etiles they get but they can't get everything. They could be planing on getting th ehome rights but at a later date while they focus on other titles they currntly have. no matter what though all we can do is wait and see.

Sad but True, Alas what a dark truth about the world we live in when such artistic masterpieces get denied physical releases and shameless otaku-bait gets released state-side in droves, le sigh!
.... But getting off of my hoity toity high horse, as FF said, Funi simulcasting or streaming a show doesn't mean it will always get a physical release (sadly) most do, but a few fall between the cracks, but theres always a chance they could get a release later on, if not from Funi some other distributor.

@Devilot: ok thanks
@RootsofJustice: Blaustein was born intersexed, Grelle was born a regular male.
