In Honor of Valentine's Day (a holiday I don't really care for, but oh well), I thought I'd ask:
Who is your favorite Anime couple? Why are they your favorite?
Mine are Max and Mirya Sterling from Robotech.
Classic tale of Boy meets Alien Girl, Alien Girl tries to kill Boy, Boy confesses love to Alien Girl, Boy and Alien Girl get married and have a kid. Boy, Alien Girl, and Hybrid baby bring about Intergalactic Peace. It was also one of the first animes I saw that had a love story plot line.
As for favorite Anime Love Story? I don't really have one per se. There are elements of other series I like, but not an overall story I've seen that I enjoyed.

My answer is the same for both kind of, and it's probably to be expected - Ichitaka and Itsuki are one of my favorite couples, and I"s is definitely my favorite anime/manga love story.
I'll let you recooperate from the shock before I go on.
In all seriousness, I have a major weakness for 'best friend' characters becoming more than that, since that's how things have worked out for me in real life. It just appeals to me greatly. As for why I"s itself is a major favorite, there's just so much in it that I love. Though Ichitaka and Itsuki aren't the main focus of it, the development of Ichitaka and Iori's budding relationship is absolutely adorable, and though it's drawn out quite a bit, it's great to see all the pieces fall together...however slowly that might take.

All joking aside I think my favorite anime romance is Spice and Wolf. Lawrence and Holo have great chemistry, genuine interactions and a believable relationship based on mutual respect.
Also Senjougahara and Araragi from Bakemonogatari.

Well if were strictly sticking to cannon material, my answer would be TORADORA for both questions. Ryuji & Taiga are my favorite couple in anime, and TORADORA is my favorite SLICE OF LIFE anime. ( I refuse to call it a L--- Story...*Cringe*)
