Re: Shows you'd like to see licensed by FUNimation

Since FUNimation apparently licensed the Tales of Vesperia movie, I wouldn't mind them licensing Tales of Symphonia. I also would like to see them license the Fate/Stay Night movie.

I'd love it if "Claymore" had season2, and possibly season3.

Funimation does not MAKE anime they acquire it from the various companies & Studios in Japan. Therefore your Request is a rahter pointless one since there is no more Claymore in production in Japan. Your best bet would just be to continue the story by reading the Ongoing manga series avlible fom VIZ.

Again, People be sure to check and see if somthing actually exsits and or weather or not Funi or some other company already has it before you request it.

(after all this is the internet...with all the search power at ones disposal..there is no excuse for ignorrance, lol.)

But yeah, I like Claymore alot to...alas the anime was just a one shot... no more seasons and sadly no plans to make more. Who knows though, maybe years from now once the magna has finished its run...maybe itll get the brotherhood treatment and get a full adaption.

And now back to the Topic at hand, another show I was going to suggest, but keep forgetting. I think it would be nice if Funi would consider getting Erin: The Green eyed, its admitingly kind of a boring show...but it has a nice story, and would be worth it if cheap enough.

Re: Shows you'd like to see licensed by FUNimation

I would personally like to see more mecha anime. I feel this is a genre that is mostly unexplored in the west, and hopefully that will change in the near future. As such, I have a few animes that I would LOVE to see either officially subbed or dubbed in english. These are:

Getter Robo
Getter Robo G
Mazinger Z
Great Mazinger
Dancougar: Super Beast Machine God
Dancougar Nova
Six God Combination Godmars
Choudenji Robo Combattler V
Choudenji Machine Voltes V

These are the animes I've been wanting to see officially translated since I first started playing Super Robot Wars games on the PS2. I realize that some shows such as Getter Robo G have been translated already, but they are so out of date that it is difficult to find their english counterparts these days, especially in physical form.

The company that does have the "balls" is Media Blasters - they have Queen's Blade and Kanokon for example; after all, unlike FUNimation, they already release straight-up hentai under their "Kitty Media" label.

Re: Shows you'd like to see licensed by FUNimation

Here's a few. I'll come back and post more if I discover any:

Katekyo Hitman Reborn!
MORE One Piece (just slap Toei around until they give Season 4+ to you guys)
More D.Gray-man (why haven't you done this already? Who cares about legal issues? Do it anyway)
The rest of When They Cry/Higurashi no Naku Koro ni
The rest of The Familiar of Zero/Zero no Tsukaima

Please respond and explain to me why you're being foolish fools and why you WON'T do this.

Thanks.

There are some titles which FUNimation has, for various reasons, regrettably dropped or decided not to continue releasing further episodes of. Please do not ask about these titles here, but if you want to campaign for them do so in the relevant show forums. Currently these titles/franchises include:
Big Windup (aka Ookiku Furikabutte/Oofuri)
Case Closed TV (aka Detective Conan; note this does not necessarily extend to movies/specials)
The Familiar of Zero (aka Zero no Tsukaima)
Kodocha (aka Kodomo no Omocha)
When they Cry (aka Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, including sequels and related titles like Umineko)

Ah where to start.

-First off, slapping Toei Animation isn't going to give FUNi season 4+. It would actually kill the deal.
-Next, they don't even have the episodes in the first place (Legal issues are preventing them from getting those episodes.), and as such couldn't dub anyway. Though if they did without approval, they'd get sued (Just like how 4Kids got sued for hiding certain profits from the Japanese companies.), and they wouldn't be able to get back other shows. It would cause financial issues for FUNimation. And don't give me "They got Dragon Ball money.". It's spread across the entire company, and they're not rich.
-They're not getting When They Cry back, or getting the sequels. Same goes for The Familiar of Zero. They both got poor sales, and FUNi which is a business won't bother putting more money, and keep something that will make them lose money. A purpose of a business is to MAKE money, not LOSE money.

Why should a business put money into something that'll make them lose money?

As far as REBORN! goes, VIZ Media is more likely to license that. Though they currently just have streaming rights.

You have already been told about this.
For one. Be patient.
Secondly, violence and acting like a child isn't how buisiness works.

>Who cares about legal issues? Do it anyway

Are you honestly asking them to commit a crime so you can get what you want?
You are rediculously selfish.

Re: Shows you'd like to see licensed by FUNimation

@dubs4life: Pretty much waht Drago said, Funi is a businiess, and for better or worse that means they will at times drop shows, I don't like it either, but thats the way a business works. No need to get mad or sad over it.

As for One Piece, its just a matter of patiance, OP season 4 will be announced eventually.

Now back to the Topic at hand....

I Would love to see Funi, or heck anybody for that matter get Slam Dunk and give it a proper & Complete release in the states. Given sports anime sales fairly poor here (oddly enough) But I personally belive Slam Dunk has a good enough story to justify bringing it over proper...although I know i'm in the minority on that..oh well..at least theres the manga. nervous
