Manga has the Blood: The Last Vampire Movie, and Sony has Blood+

I guess I should post a list, huh?

  • Dennou Coil
  • Legend of the Galactic Heroes
  • Gakuen Utopia Manabi Straight
Sadly, I am aware that FUNimation is highly unlikely to license any of those titles (and probably no one else, either).

I have one that I wouldn't mind getting licensed, the Reideen series. It was done by Production I.G. in 2007 as a remake of the original 1997 series.

The ones I really, really want are:

1. World Only God Knows I and II
2. Natsume Yuujinchou (or Natsume's Book of Friends)
3. No. 6
4. Blood-C
5. xxxHolic Kei (it's been too long and my whole family enjoys the show!)
6. Zombie Loan
7. Bakemonogatari (though I know this would be kinda hard to dub... But I luvs the show)
8. Usagi Drop
9. Level - E dub would be so awesome and funny
10. Mawaru Penguindrum - same director as Utena so its pretty interesting

Sentai Filmworks has this series. Funimation isn't going to license something that is already licensed.

Re: Shows you'd like to see licensed by FUNimation

There are so many great animes out there! There's so much to choose from... but there, of course, are those certain particular ones that we fans MUST have dubbed by the one and only Funimation! smile. Animes that I would particularly like dubbed are:

  • Hakushaku to Yosei (aka Earl and Fairy)
  • Shugo Chara (3 seasons, total 127 episodes I think it's licensed by Crunchyroll already though... only English subs. sad.)
  • Alice in the Country of Hearts (it has only been released in Japan in theaters so far. It is only a movie, by QuinRose. I haven't heard anything about the DVD release yet.)

There are so much more that I will probably list in the near future if I can think of any. XD. Most animes I have watched have been liscensed by other companies already. >_<. Hopefully, I can think of more and will post a future list with more. :D. <3.

1. Shugo Chara!
2. Card Captor Sakura

CrunchyRoll doesn't license, only gets permission to simulcast (on occasion). Bandai and Funimation have gotten mad with them a few times for illegally streaming their licensed titles. On Wikipedia it said that they "licensed" the first season, but it had no citation so I don't believe it's true. Plus, that was only in the info bar, if you go to the "Anime" section of Shugo Chara it only says it simulcasts the series with the permission of TV Tokyo and other series by TV Tokyo.
CrunchyRoll has only licensed one thing, 5 Centimeters Per Second, which was done last year.

Re: Shows you'd like to see licensed by FUNimation

I know its pointless. posting the same wish again.... but still hopin to see Additional rights to some of those Noitamina & Madhouse titles Funi. House of Five Leaves, Tatami Galaxy, and Rainbow would look so nice up on my shelf. (ecspecially Tatami..love that show so much,,, I need it on my shelf within a years time or I may explode!)

Also Still pointlessly hoping for more Case Closed MOVIES.

And it would also be nice to see you guys pick up Usagi Drop (despite its somewhat odd end its a solid series from what I hear) & ..oh whats the name of that other noitamina show... Ano-Hana I think.

Paranoia Agent Save PWEEZE! kitty , Master Keaton Save (although I guess D-tek or Nozomi would be more likely for that. But meh a guy can dream)

And Finally.... Pretty much any retro/classic anime from the late 70's to around 2000 on the dot would be nice. (ecspecially Sailor Moon )

But yeah, keep on chuggin funi.
