Re: Shows you'd like to see licensed by FUNimation
i love the replys to this 90% of it is stuff that is too japence to sell in the west and the rest no one knows about so wont sell. i wouldlove to hear a dub of lovely complex but it wont happen because the show would only sell to me. a voteing system is really needed so peaple canvote down thesilly choices and vote upthings that they would actually buy. anyway i know itwont get licenced but lovely complex is my suggestion.
Re: Shows you'd like to see licensed by FUNimation
republish Card Captor Sakura, both Seasons and movie. So we can buy them without paying ridiculous price. Even sub only, I don't mind. If they're R1 DVD with english sub, it's more than enough for me.
Also, I want to see xxxHolic Kei released...leaving a series half-finished is really sad. That's my only two wish.

I'd love "Lovely Complex", that's one of the few anime I really want to buy. It's really the only shojo series I ever got into, it's so funny and so charming. I know FUNimation looked into it, Adam Sheehan told me when I asked him, I just don't know why it never happened. It's a shame really, not many great shoujo series are getting dubbed these days.
Re: Shows you'd like to see licensed by FUNimation
It is true that a lot of shows we'd like to see licensed would be perhaps to niche to garner widespread sales. I would love to see a large company like Funi to have a separate line of properties that are perhaps considered to niche for the mainstream. They could call it their "Boutique Line" or something like that, and sell the series at a premium, maybe 150% of what is typically charged. Don't even dub them at first just offer a title legally that we otherwise would not be able to get. They could always go back and dub high sellers at a later date, even offer to sell people who bought the sub only the dubs at a miniscule amount, say $10-$15 a set as long as they sent back in their sub set (so as not to have them selling them online and profiting of their generosity. ) I know licenses are extremely expensive, but it seems unfathomable that it could not be worked out at a better price when you go to the negotiating table with, "ok the series has been out for 7 years and has still not been licensed, you have made $0. Sell it for half what you are asking, and now you make money." Also offer profit sharing in the deal to sweeten the pot not just a flat license fee, but maybe 5-7% gross off the title. What sound business person wouldn't at least think twice. I know there are quite a few titles I'd pay a premium for, Just to name a few:
-Natsume YujinCho
-Eve no Jikan
-Denno Coil
-Sayonara Zetsubou sensi (sure Media Blasters says they have it, but its what 15 months past the
listed release date? I really don't believe them)
-Minami-Ke- not my usual cup of tea but still worth it.

I think that FUNimation should lisence Ao no EXorcist, or Blue Exorcist. Currently as I'm posting this comment, it has only 16 released episodes and 4 volumes of manga, 2 in english. It's wildly popular with otaku right now. It's truly an amazing anime! If anyone is going to liscence it, it should be FUNimation!!

I'd like to repeat my prior request for AnoHana.
Also, I'd kill for a relicense and dubbing of Cardcaptor Sakura. Come on! Please?
English dubs rule! Spread the love, raise the profit, get more anime.
