AEsir holdings can't renew whatever properties they have, and by the time the final Rebuild EVA comes out, AEsir's rights to Evangelion might have expired.

No, when everything transferred from ADV to Aesir Holding. They have most of ADV's titles, they just recently released a few things. Princess Tutu 1st print was in 2009, 2nd print from AH was in 2011, Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi was in 2007 and then in 2012...yeah, they STILL have Eva, and why would ADV let it expire? It was one top selling titles, they're not going to let Funimation grab anymore of their titles that made them money (they're just won't do a print run unless it needs to happen, it would be a waste of money when there is a lot on the market). They'll mostly do a print when it's about to expire, which is what I think they did with the other titles. So I'm going to hope they reprint Jing the bandit king soon

AEsir Holdings only has their titles until their licenses (when the company was ADV back then) expire. AEsir can't renew any their licenses. The length of time they have on those titles is determined by how many years has their most recent renewal given them until the next. Also to mention, Sentai has taken Get Backers and Grave of the Fireflies (both of them were formerly ADV and in case for Grave of the Fireflies, before ADV, Central Park Media)

Since it looks like Manga Entertainment isn't involved in it, I'd love to see FUNimation try and go after Ghost in the Shell ARISE.

@RootsOfJustice: It's going to be doubtful if Funi can pick it up since GITS is a Manga Entertainment series, but Funi can try (If they do they should retain the cast).

Sukitte Ii na yo is already licensed by Sentai and Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic is licensed by Aniplex.

OK, apparently Sentai Filmworks still holds the license to Neo Tokyo, and I just got an email from one of their reps saying that they are not going to release it on bluray anytime soon. Boo!

BUT, I am still holding out hope that Funimation can license Robot Carnival and release it on a beautiful, remastered bluray disc!

Robot Carnival, por favor!
