I just realized Ill probably be spending $100 on the day Angel Beats release, funimation seems to have Part 5 of Brotherhood for the same day, wow, lol.
I already bought both complete Clannad series and I'm going to buy Angel Beats and MariaHolic Alive when they are released!
Sentai might get more of my money than Funi this year if things keep going this way.
If I have enough, I might also get IS and Dream Eater Merry.
I really like Sentai Filmworks, some of their latest pick up's like Guin Saga and Tears to Tiara have been absulutely excellent and I would put them as my 2nd favorite anime licensing company in the United States right behind FUNimation. Hopefully they keep up the really good work and grab some more awesome franchises to release on DVD here in the United States, as long as they continue pumping out good stuff I'll continue spedning the cash to own it.
What is excellent about Guin Saga? The anime is not even a saga since it does not continue to cover the majority of the novels, it is more like Guin Prologue.
Yeah because their fanbase loves to see them release typo-filled speedsubs.

(They trade in the SUB-Only version and
get XX% off of the Dubbed version.
Yeah and i'm sure that those who actually traded their sub-only sets of Tears To Tiara, Ghost Hound, Clannad & Clannad After Story were happy to get their dubbed DVDs in STACKpaks.

.
What's so excellent about Guin Saga? Well, the story gripped me through the entire series as did the art and animation, I loved the music and the characters were very well designed, everything about it was just awesome. I don't care about the novels, I never read them nor to I plan to so everything that happened within the anime was perfectly fine for me. It all boils down to personal taste, if you didn't like it then that's fine but there are others who do and I happen to be one of them.

They are a newer company still sorting stuff out, at least they are going out and getting titles fans want that aren't sorry stupid shonen stuff.
I happen to really love Sentai's aggressive moves to get titles. The biggest company in the buisness, Funi seems to only want to release shows that they think they can plaster all over TV. If they get a show that doesn't meet that criteria it gets buried just so the fans of the show can not get "legal" fansubs (Chaos;Head and Case Closed).

Sarcasm and odd defintion of speedsubs aside, it looks like it works for them.
