I think we have a fairly good chance of a dub with SAO if Neon Alley continues to grow and can work out an arrangement for it. I truly believe the only reason Ao No Exorcist was ever dubbed is because of Neon Alley. The other way it might go is like Madoka, with the collectors edition $200 ea. sets then the blu ray volumes as regular editions at around $50 each per 4 or 5 episodes. since SAO has more ep's than Madoka maybe we will get $40 sets with 6 volumes total, but I won't hold out much hope. Truly our best bet is if the numbers were really good on Crunchy roll then Neon Alley may show enough interest to get AoA to dub it, then they can recoup much of their costs up front and can delay on the home video release like they are with dub ao no exorcist.
@batou: Thanks for the info. And I'm glad to know I wasn't too far off in being able to help even a tad bit.
This is pretty off from the thread's main topic but when has a thread ever stayed on topic the entire way through. Anyway, I noticed that as of yesterday, it's been 5 months since this thread was started. I know there was a new SAO ep each week but it just didn't feel like very long. I guess now that it's over(again, hopefully just temporarily), I actually notice the time span. Also, I don't pay much attention to the current date so that may have had something to do with it.
"When you truly care about someone, you don't need any specific reasons to justify your feelings. If you don't know why you feel the way you do, then you can't lose that which causes you to care."
But Neon Ally wasn't running when Blue Exorsist was dubed though.. so I doubt that had much of anything todo with them dubing it. But it seems popular enough so there is a good chance we can still get a dub. Just hope they do a good job with it. Cause I don't really want to pay AoA prices for a sub only set. Regardless of what fancy extras it may come with. The dub will make it much more appealing to spend that kind of money on it. TO me anyway.
Well Aniplex confirms teh ENG Dub.http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2013-02-22/aniplex-usa-confirms-sword-art-online-english-dub talk more about in the AoA thread.

Lets just hope it stays that way. I really don't want to pay thoes high prices. But at least the dub make it far more woth it than just a sub only set.
Sao got Boring to me and I gave up on it, also I asked someone to tell me the ending.
On another forum I went to, lots of people said Sao made them cry at the end? Asuna survived I know that and they beat the admin(or whatever) of the game.

It's kindof obvious, but use of spoilers is recommended when giving away spoilers.

He just wanted to
Spoiler: Highlight to view
build his Castle in the Sky. But yeah, they beat SAO, and then they continue going into virtual game worlds for some reason. I heard Kirito turns into a detective.

I think by this point most people who watched it have finished by now. Anyway, is there news on a release date?

I reject your reality and replace it with my own.

At least it isn't insanely overpriced.

It is extremely overrated.
