I thought that turned out to be a pretty good ending to the arc. As someone else mentioned previously, I agree that they focused a bit too much on Leifa than Asuna, but I guess the author felt like he had to wrap up the issues between Kirito and her. So anyone read lips in Japanese to know what he said there at the end?
Somehow I don't think lip reading wil help. lol But I really want to know. I have a few guesses. I won't post them right now. But hopefuly we get a S2 to get an answer to that. I don't realy feel it was too focused on Sugu. But it was definetly put there to wrap uo their issues they had.
BTW yes Cote that was Asuna. she changed her AOL avatar I'm guessing since she was freed. I had to double take that myself to be sure. But the voice pretty much settled it.
I was satisfied with the ending. It was nice to see everybody from SAO again, this time in the real world and then again in ALO.
Asuna with blue hair... Not sure I really like that. Took me a few moments longer than it should've to recognize her. Her original ALO avatar looked nice too, but I guess she wanted to change things up.
Everybody leaving together to play through SAO again left me wanting more.

Much better. I won't lie, I wanted Sugou to die. I'll admit it was better that Kirito didn't do it though. I do think they ended it pretty well but hopefully there will be a second season. I guess if you haven't read the manga or novels you probably won't be able to think of what the plot could be. At least I can't. But with four(I think that's the right amount) other arcs, there had better be more being made.
The dance scene in the sky between Kirito and Leafa was fully unnecessary. I do understand what others have written about needing some closure between those two but that scene was pointless. It made Leafa feel better which is good but it also, crap, lost my train of thought. I'll get back to it if I remember.
I didn't expect the Seed to allow multiple new MMOs to be created. I was sure it would be a design for one brand new world though there were new ones made thanks to it. I think it would be pretty cool if you could not just transfer your character data between worlds but instead be able to actually traverse worlds without signing out of one and then into the other. Kinda like at the end where Aincard was inside of ALfheim. Also at the end, wasn't hard to figure out it was Asuna, however, the blue hairdid throw me for a loop for a few seconds. I don't reallly see why she would have wanted to keep her previous avatar though. You should realize that 1) it wasn't her choice and 2) it more than likely would have just continually brought back the memory of that pr***. Woooh, my fingers tensed up there for a second while trying to put those last bits down. I'm fine now. I won't go carzy with a rant of all caps like some people do.
Back at the second topic. It seemed to give Leafa at least a small amount of hope that Kirito might eventually have feelings for her. Or hell, it could have just made her realize there weren't any lingering issues. I'm probably reading into it wrong so I'm guessing the latter of the two is correct.
I guess that about wraps it up. OR DOES IT?! Just kidding.

I mean now that this show is LICENSED by ANIPLEXUSA I think that GUARENTEES that there WILL NOT BE a DUB... Is this correct to assume?
(For a series that looks so interesting, I was SO sold on buying it, but here's to Failed interests.
I can't give much info but from what I've read in other posts, if Aniplex gets an anime, you're not getting it. They do dub the animes they get but I believe it takes forever and when it finally does come out it's usually priced around $200 minimum. If Funi had gotten SAO like I know tons of people asked them to(I was one of them), we would have a dub release around the end of next year at the latest most likely with a price of maybe $80 max. Like I said, I can't give much info but that should give some idea until batou sees this. Guarantee you he'll be able to answer your question the best.

Aniplex USA is the R1 branch of the Japanese company Aniplex. Feelings towards them are pretty polarized with fans, with one side feeling they do very high quality Japanese style releases, and the other side feeling they are extremely over priced (I personally fall into the first category.) They do have some releases that have been dubbed, some of which include : R.O.D., Durarara, and others. But, SAO will be a long time in coming dubbed if it ever does. It will most likely be released in the same style as Fate/Zero, which is a direct US release of the Japanese one with a translation booklet added in for the special feature books. It is a limited edition two part release with each release having one cour of the series, drama cd, soundtrack, and production materials booklet. It is basically a facilitated import with the translation booklet added in (but it is less expensive than if you imported it as it would be $443 plus about $20 shipping to import while it is $370 from rightstuf.) With the sales of SAO so far, I'm betting this is also how it will be released here (although they have released 2 bds so far in Japan, so it might be packaged more like Bakemonogatari.)

Haha. Called it. I told you batou would be able to. And here's a thank you from me as well batou. Thanks. You learn someting new everyday and now I know a little more about them as well. If you wouldn't mind answering a question that was raised from that post: Are you saying that they release sub only sets and there's only a small chance at dubs? I know next to nothing about them so it would be nice know a bit more.

Yeah they do mostly release sub only. From what I have seen it is sort of 2 things coming into play with Aniplex of America. They release some of Aniplex's properties in R1, although it might not be technically correct you could think of them as if an American company opened a distribution branch in a foreign country and released some of their products there. Many people feel that they charge too high of a price for their products, but I feel this is mostly because they follow a similar pricing structure to their parent company in Japan. The do take into account the difference in the market here in R1 versus the one in Japan and most of the releases are less expensive than they are sold for in Japan...but they are still significantly more than we are typically used to. So firstly they follow more of a Japanese pricing style than R1. Secondly they fill the what I think of as the "super detailed limited edition sets packed with extras and high quality packaging" niche. Not all of their releases are like this (PMMM had a standard release, Oreimo as well) but many do such as the Kara no Kyoukai set. That is by far the most impressive set of media I have ever purchased. Some of their things are dubbed. Blue exorcist is streamed dubbed on Neon Alley. Another example of one of their properties being dubbed is Baccano, but this is a rare case where it was licensed to Funi for DVD release, but not blu ray, and then Aniplex of America re-released it in a limited edition box on blu ray with the dub. Durarara is another dubbed of theirs, as is PMMM. So of the 16 series Anime News Network lists as licensed by them about 6 are dubbed; or in other words 37.5% of their titles. So it's not as if it never happens, but it is never a sure bet either. As for companies like Funi and Sentai geting Aniplex shows, I think it usually depends on their popularity in Japan when it comes to sales. Something like Fate/Zero, Garden of Sinners, or more appropriate in this case Sword Art online (whose limited edition blu ray disc one was the 29th highest selling blu ray in Japan in 2012 with 33,294 sold...which is especially impressive as it only came out on 10/24/2012) Aniplex is either going to distribute them through Aniplex of America (or license them to them depending on how the corporation is setup such as if it is a SBU of Aniplex) or charge an arm and a leg for the license. That's most likely why the big name Aniplex titles are done by AoA and in the Japanese limited edition style.
