Re: SAO-Sword Art Online Discussion thread.

No offence but God I hope not. I feel that would lower the quality of the show. It might work for other show like Rouge Hero but this one can do well without it.

Probably at some point, but likely not until after the SAO portion has ended.

Accel World, written by the same author, included what was essentially a beach-episode arc in the second half of the show, so I wouldn't be surprised if he tossed one into this show at some point as well.

My only complante is I feel that ep 10 I think was the duel. They put too many events in that ep. Spread them out is al I'm saying. But over all I'm still impressed with the show.
Would like to see this show get another season after the current one we are on. Hav ethem end this one with clearing up to floor 80-ish. Then have another to go farther or finish. But thats just my wishfull thinking. Who know how they will play this out. I just don't want a rushed ending.

I agree with ep 10 having too much stuff crammed into it but overall I don't think it was a bad ep. Not great, but not terrible. And considering it will have over 20 eps, it doesn't really seem like it's being rushed. I've been wrong before, "cough" Kirito's duel with Heathcliff "cough". Lol

Random much?

It works for shows like Rogue Hero because they have fan service. One show with a beach ep that actually did have a purpose is Another. Awesome anime first of all. The beach ep was meant to be a break from everything that was happening and let them feel some joy instead of the constant sorrow. I don't think I can say more without spoiling it for anyone who hasn't watched it though.

At no point in the novels do the characters go to the beach.

I think the whole married and playing house in the forest episodes (as well as serving to introducing Yui) served a bit of this purpose. Also nice to see another Another fan (what a confusing sentence if you don't know the anime.) I agree that was one of the most well done beach, onsen, new swimming pool park, etc... episodes I have seen in a long time. It not only furthered the story but it gave the characters so much more depth and also did a good job of giving the viewer a sense of empathy for the characters because they became more realistic and less two dimensional. (How about that pun at the end of that post?? Ha!)

Re: SAO-Sword Art Online Discussion thread.

Spoiler is you haven't seen ep 14 yet.

So yeah Kayaba turned out to be Hethclian, or rather the othe rway around. and I gotta say I'm rather dissappointed in this ep. We come in and they just happen to be beatin this boss that at the end of the last ep they were stuglling agianst to even get a hit on. SO this fight only last a mear couple mins of show time. Then We jump to Kirito figuring out Heathcliffs secret. they fight agian and then Both Kirito and Asuna get killed. But somehow kirito for an instant manages to force himself back for just a moment and Kill Kayaba to clear the game. Then he spills out more or less to Asuna and Kirito on why he created SAO. And even though Kirito had rightfully died he somehow manages to still be alive in the real world? Guess you could say its cause he beat Kayaba but initially he had died before that. SO a bit of comfliction if you ask me. And now after 2+years in SAO he jsut wabbles off in the hospital to look for Asuna I guess or wounder off in greif. But basied on the title for th enext ep I'm guessin to look for her. But if they really escaped the game what is the rest of this show gunna be like I wounder? The nest few titles almsot make this ep appear to seem to be like a giant nightmere or soemthing. Or are they gunna somehow go back in the game even though Kayaba said the game is being deleted? A few questions remin to say the least. Oh yeha one of the thing sthats really dissaponted me about this ep was yet agian like back on ep 10 or whater it was, way too much was packed in 1 ep. ... I don't even know what to hope for at this point anymore on this show. It jsut had all this great potiental and right now it seems to have fallen a bit. Guess its just the waiting game agian to see wha thappens.

Re: SAO-Sword Art Online Discussion thread.

From watching this show I've come to the conclusion that the way you look at the story and what you are expecting out of it are going to define if you like it or not. If you are looking for an action show that is primarily about the characters making their way through the game with a little bit of character development through side stories and character interactions, then you might be a little let down. But, if you look at it as a character driven story where the characters are the central point and the game was just a tool to learn more about them and develop them (and also enjoy the action that occurred during these parts) then you'd probably like it much more. I will admit there are some plot holes so far, most of which I'd forgiven because it took place in the game so pretty much anything was possible there depending on the program. But Kirito walking around at the end (while I understand why they did it that doesn't make it any less unrealistic) was just dumb. Someone needs to tell the author the definition of the word "atrophy" I mean come on we all remember what they had to do to Neo once he woke up right?

Re: SAO-Sword Art Online Discussion thread.

yeah that was one thing that wa odd. I doubt very much he'd had been able to just get up and walk/wabble out the way he did. Not after 2 yrs of his body being imobile.

I still don't know really waht to expect but after a little thinking I gues this could be some kind of setup. Don't know what yet. But your partly right batou. Whith how it started I was kind alooking forward to more action basied stuff happening. Especily which this ep with how th last one ended. But I did like the eps of where they acted like "family" and all. Cause again if you've ben traped in something like that for that long your gunna try and find somethign "real" and Liz had put it.

I still think too much was put in this one. But I'm hoping th enext one will explain what happeing.
