What life without a bit of contradiction though. lol Let me just say its all speculation on my part. I have no idea what could be motivating anythjing that happening. Is he just sitting back and watching. Or is he activly participation. Or maybe a bit of both. Watching but intervense on things when they are perhaps straying what he wants see. I have no idea. Liek batou said its just fun guessing. I'm not purposfully trying to contradict myself its just happening since I' throwing ideas on what may or may not be happening.
So in ep 13 we finally see Heathcliff participate in the frontline battles. This new boss is a dosy. Think it had 5 maybe 6 health bars. They start to show the doubts that Kirito and Asuna have been hiding in their hearts just before the battle. And of course in the midst of their combo attack we get that nast 3 word sentence. To be continued. Argh some of th eworst words at the best points. lol ep 13 was "Edge of Hell's Abyss" and the next onw is " The End of the World". Though I doubt they'd kill off a main charcter with al the doubting Kirito and Asuna did one of them may be in for a bad run. Or both might get the near death experience this time. Seems like this would be a good place to see Heathcliff pul of that little trick he used against Kirito in that duel, in order to survive this.
Oh My God I loved episode 13, it was hilarious seeing Kirito trying to fish at such a low level on an extremely high level lake XD Kirito and Asuna are perfect for each other . The boss had 5 life bars from what I could tell, really scary how intimidating it was, I also loved how Asuna was the only person to notice that the boss was on the ceiling. I'd like to have a wife like that, sweet, knows how to cook, strong and fearless, and most of all...caring. Great episode I can't wait for the next episode!!! THE CLIFFHANGER IS KILLING ME!!!! I'm gonna watch it RAW just so I can watch it before everyone else. :D Sword Art Online is one of the best anime I've ever seen. But one thing has been itching at the back of my head.....I think SAO is kinda turning into a Shojo instead of a Shonen, well at least at the slow parts. Well just my opinion anyway. I really hope FUNimation picks this up and starts dubbing, I'd definitely love to see that. If it does happen, then I hope they're not portrayed badly. Like Kirito has a Female voice actor like Cruze from Needless, that would stink.......Asuna's VA (Voice Actor) will probably be good considering she's the Heroine of the anime, then again Sachii was too. Whatever all I'd like to say is I LOVE THIS ANIME!!!!

Hello :D
I've seen a lot of anime and plan on watching more. I have like 5-6 anime I'm really itching to buy right now but I don't
Have the money but I'm getting a job next spring so yay for me! I currently own: Eden of the East (Complete Series, and both of the movies), and Chrome Shelled Regios. XD
Anime Wish List: Spice and Wolf Seasons 1&2, Hero Tales, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Trigun Movie, Summer Wars
@Dragon0: You really got to put spoiler alert or something. Lol. I almost read that post before watching the new ep. Also, everybody contradicts themselves now and again. Maybe you hadn't been thinking about it or forgot what you previously said. Nobody's perfect.
I'm going to have a few different topics in ths post so I'll put a dash before each one.
-Those first minutes of the ep with all the fishing stuff, was hilarious in my opinion. When Nishida screamed, "What?!" at Kirito, he kinda creeped me out with that face he made. Lol. I was laughing afterwards but it was creepy. When Kirito ran like a mad bull when the fish appeared, I was laughing my *** off. I really like how it started off with so much humor and then put in a little suspense before just bringing out the awesome action.
-Honestly, part of me is actually starting to agree that Heathcliff is Kayaba. When he mentioned to Kirito, "Someone is stronger when they have something to protect." it implies that he's curious to see how much strength that his resolve to protect Asuna is giving him. That's supported by what Dragon0 brought up: that Kayaba's main goal had been to observe, which is easier to do when you're with them. Also, I find it a little odd that so many players could be taken out in one hit(they may not be as strong as Kirito and the others, yes, but that's beside the point), Kirito couldn't even hold off one of the boss' sythes alone and the obvious fact of how ridiculously strong it is, and yet Heathcliff seemed to have no trouble whatsoever stopping its attacks. He was being pushed back by Kirito but he doesn't move an inch when hit by that massive boss? Something's definitely wrong with this picture.
-@SPKirito: I think you bring up a good point with Kirito and Asuna being perfect for each other. One of the great things about that ep, in my opinion, was how it showed how strong their relationship has become without putting so much focus on it alone. The scenes during the battle show how well they work together without thinking. The scene before at the KOTBO(Knights of the Blood Oath) guild HQ showed how deeply they care about each other. And finally, the scenes on floor 22 show how they are perfect together.
-What about Kleine? Anybody else besides me notice that he's become stronger? I know how weird that sounds, but it seems the best way to put it. Here's a good way to describe it. Remember Kirito back when he first started after the mirrors revealed what they really look like? Compare that image with him holding his dual blades in the fight with Gleam-Eyes. You can see it in the way he holds himself(his posture I guess). You can notice the difference in strength. Well, some people might not think about it that way and so don't see it but regardless. Kleine is like that too now and I think it's pretty sweet that he is not only in this battle, but is one of the lead contenders in it.
-Last thing I promise. That boss is badass, no denying that. Now, when Kirito and Asuna fought that grim reaper looking monster, he mentioned that it might be like something from the 90th floor. He and Asuna stood no chance against it, could hardly even defend themselves no less. The boss they're fighting now is for the 75th and even with as large a group as they have, are having trouble. I can't even imagine how difficult the bosses of the 90th floor and above will be.

Yeah sorry bout that. I'll do that next tiem for ya. lol
I think they have done a good job so far showing the strengh of thier relationship withough needing ot completly draw out eps to needlessly explain it. And in this ep how well they work together in combo. Their acting as the destration in order to allow the rest of the group to attch the body. Heathcliff, Kirito and Asuna are probably th eonly ones together who could pull that off, that we have seen anyway. As to if Kayaba is Heathcliff or not. Well I'm gunna hold of on saying he is for the moment. I think this battle could provide some answers to that question. We'll see.
Klein indeed has gotten stronger. Wouldn't mind seeing an ep of him and his guild working throgh some of the dungeon.
As far as what the furuter bossses wil be like. Well we might need a clear pair of shorts. lol A group this large on just the mid 70's boss and its whiping them out in 1 hit. They aree practicly powereless against this thing. TO get through the ones on the higher lvs I wouldn't be suprised if they go back thourgh other dugeons to Lv up and get stronger to face them after seeing this. But we'll see.
The anime still hasn't mentioned anything about the Level 25, 50 and 75 bosses being tougher than the bosses on surrounding floors?
It never mentioned anything about any bosses specificly being stronger than others. At least as far as I know. It's possible I may have missed that but I'm positive it hasn't. Also, how exactly is that a spoiler?

Unfortunately the probability of that happening is probably single digits at best, and most likely no chance at all. SAO is A-1 pictures who is owned by Aniplex. SAO part 1 (Japanese release episodes 1-4) comes out late October, and by September 14th the pre-orders for it were already at over 25,000 and that's just for the blu rays, not the DVDs. With numbers like that the best chance is that it will be localized by Aniplex USA with a release similar to what we are seeing with Fate/Zero. Best case would probably be something along the lines of what they did with PMMM. They know though with the success of Kara no Kyoukai and F/Z that people will still buy SAO in the large LE boxset release format.
@ Eye
no I don't think they said that in the anime version.
@Forlorn
While it doesn't give away anything to bad, it is still info from the LN source material so he was probably just spoilering it to be on the safe side.
Hey guys I'm back. So from what I can tell from that last post, there will be almost no chance that SAO will be dubbed. That sucks. Anyway just saw the last episode and I gotta say that I was pretty satisfied with it. Even Heathcliff seemed to be doing his part though I won't spoil it for anyone who hasn't watched it yet. I'm just a bit confused. Why would they leave the last episode a Cliffhanger? Batou, it seems to me that you're pretty good with stuff like this, is the show so good that they feel there will almost definitely be a season 2?

I reject your reality and replace it with my own.
