Is that NADESICO series going to be dubbed? It looks cool, would be a shame if it isn't. or at least the picture does, anyway.

Nadesico already has a dub by ADV and it will be in this set.

The only thing that will be sub-only is Gekiganger III since ADV never got that when they had the Nadesico license.

Re: Nozomi Discussion

I wish Nozomi would do more English dubbing. It seems like the only releases they'd done lately that were bilingual are all re-releases. Not that this is a bad thing, especialy with Utena, but it's sad since they did such great work in the past with their English dubs. Comic Party and To Heart were especially good in my opinion.

I hope when VIZ finally lets go of Monster, Nozomi will grab it and release the whole thing. That'd be a nice treat for fans.

Re: Nozomi Discussion

Would Nozomi dub more if they had the funds? Like, DMP holds funds raisers for manga, could anime people do the same thing?

Re: Nozomi Discussion

Well the thing is Nozomi doesn't dub the titles the acquire, they just release pre-exsisting dubs of set titles. Since Nozomi acquires niche & retro titles, they really could'nt justify dubbing shows themselves as it would not be fiscally responsible for them.

Also Its somewhat frowned upon for companies to have fundraisers for themselves, sure doing it once in a blue moon on a special occasion (I belive DMP did it to acquire a Tezuka manga) it can work, but doing it to earn money every time you wanted to dub an anime, that would just make you look unprofessional and sad.

So yeah....

And really again considering Rightstuff/Nozomi's demo's they don't really need to dub themselves, since again the titles they acquire are either aimed at retroists or various other niche sects of an already niche market, so yeah.

I think they've only dubbed Gravitation, I'm not sure what else they have done.
