Does funi have anything like afro samuri that i can stream? I like the afro styled animes but im burnt out on the old ones like cowboy bebop ect. Looking for something kinda fresh and new.
Hihi! I'm struggling to find a new series to enjoy. I like fantasy type things, sometimes really like dark stories, but I find I'm very hit and miss with everything.
Here are some animes I have watched years ago that I liked: Full Metal Alchemist, Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle, Death Note, .hack//
Here are some animes I have watched on Funimation and have liked: FMA Brotherhood, Tower of Druaga, The Legend of the Legendary Heroes
And finally, here is a list of animes I have tried watching on Funimation but couldn't quite get into: Serial Experiments Lain, Deadman Wonderland, A Certain Magical Index, Shakugan no Shana, Utawarerumono
If it's worth anything, my absolute favourites are Brotherhood and The Legend of Legendary Heroes (I am so sad there aren't any more episodes!) I don't really like things like vampires or werewolves or mecha-things.... Thanks in advance for any suggestions!
@konquerer: Samurai Champloo is something you might like. It's not that new, but still recent enough that you can see it in the animation.
@Dayner: If you like FMA, you'll probably enjoy Soul Eater, another Bones production. It's fantasy, with some humor, but it also has a fairly dark plot. There's also Last Exile; it might not be as popular as something like Brotherhood or Soul Eater, but it fits the description of what you're looking for.
You should definitely look into Claymore, and Berserk. You also might want to check out Shakugan no Shana and Fate/Zero. And as much as I kinda hate myself for this, you'd probably like Sword Art Online.

@Dayner, aww you don't like vampires? Man, too bad!
I'll second Soul Eater, and Claymore (though the former is worth a firmer look, Imo).
D.Gray-Man is artificially a lot like FMA, and it's pretty dark as well, though only the first 51 - of 103 - episodes were ever localized so...meh.
Darker than Black is something you might get into if you don't mind modern fantasy/supernatural. Cool characters, plenty of interesting action/sequences to pay attention to, fittingly dark. The only tints of humor in it are rather dark as well. I don't love a lot of how the plot plays out, but it's something worth watching for the ride at least.
Lots of good stuff along the lines of what you're looking for, even if nothing that's been suggested works out, there's still plenty more!
Once upon a time, Lime from Saber Marionette was so cute with her hugs, a real person decided to give lots of hugs. THE END Megumi Hayashibara may be in her 40s, but she still looks adorable. Zzzzz....... Deficiency of cuteness detected, initiating Kawaii Cannon! There was a hug monster who gave lots of hugs and we all lived happily ever after. THE END

Anyone know of any good mystery/conspiracy anime? I've already watched Monster and Black Butler, and I'm going through Death Note.
Steins;Gate, Serial Experiments Lain, Gankutsuou, Monster,

Yugo The Negotiator
It's an old one from ADV, but the title is still widely available. It really has that Monster vibe to it.
Avatar: Rosette and Chrono from Chrono Crusade
Any shoujo suggestions?

What kind of shoujo? That's a pretty nebulous term.
