Looking for something more recent, no war, guns or teenage heroes/school dramas, I just don't get the appeal of those.

Crunchyroll just sent me an email saying that my all-access account had expired. Apparently the guest pass was good for 48hrs after it was activated, not until April 1.
Ah, it'd be nice if they lasted that long. But, glad someone got to use it. I've wasted too many in the past.
Have you seen any of the Blood franchise? You might also want to try Shiki and Le Portrait de Petit Cossette. And Dance in the Vampire Bund if you don't have an aversion to loli fanservice.

Looking for horror with a Female protagonist, saw Elfen Lied and Ghost hunt. No when they cry if someone was going to say that. DUBBED.
Both Boogiepop Phantom and Ergo Proxy kind of fall into what you're looking for, though both are very cerebral shows, and may not be the kind of 'horror' you're looking for. Perfect Blue would probably be the perfect fit.

Sweet thanks, I tried watching ergo proxy on here, but alas video didn't work.
I'm interested in any anime with a magic theme to it, especially if it's set in modern times and the characters able to use magic have to keep their magic a secret. If some of the main characters are studying magic, it'd be a nice bonus. I've seen Negima (both versions), Fairy Tail, Cardcaptor Sakura (although that one was a while ago). There's a few others that I've started into, so I can't quite recommend them for a sure.
I also enjoy a good mystery/conspiracy anime, sort of like Shutter Island if you've seen it (although it isn't anime). I've seen Monster, although I didn't find it very compelling. Black Butler is a good one.
As for various other one's I've seen and would recommend, those are: Aria the Scarlet Ammo, Kenichi History's Mightiest Disciple, Black Butler, Soul Eater, Fruits Basket, Get Backers, Gurren Lagann, Tsubasa Resevoir Chronicle, A Certain Magical Index, and xxxHolic. There's a few others that I haven't seen all of, and a few others that I think go without saying (and they've most likely been mentioned).

Don't forget. Always, somewhere, someone is fighting for you.
As long as you remember Her, you are not alone.

I'll look at them, but I hate Loli very much.

@Azusa: I think you'd also like Ga-Rei: Zero.
