Re: Recommend me an anime thread

I have a quick question for my Funi Friends. Does anyone know if the Anime Movie "Asylum Session" is any good, I saw it at the store the other day and it looked interesting, but i'm not sure if its good enough to buy. So if anyone here has seen it, what are your thoughts?

Can anyone give me any good recommendation's for any Mixed Martial Art Anime?

Ranma 1/2, Kenichi the mightiest disciple, Dragon Ball, Fist of the North Star are some martial arts anime that I can think of.

I haven't seen it yet, but it has the same artist as Death Note, Takeshi Obata. I really enjoyed that.

I need a series to watch...

30 episodes or less
good action and story

I like Death Note, Gun X Sword, Cowboy Bebop, Ninja Scroll, Basilik, Fullmetal Alchemist, High School of the Dead...

Durarara is 25 episodes and it will be premiering on [as] sometime this month, you could also watch Baccano which is by the same author (only 16 episodes). Birdy the Might Decode is also a good series.

Gunslinger Girl good story. follows multiple characters. great art style. All characters are well developed.

I'd second this, I really enjoyed this series immensely and I'm thinking of eventually purchasing the manga.

I've been putting off One Piece for awhile, I need someone's opinion on this. Is this a good show? It has 400 episodes, which makes watching it a daunting task and it might mean it is plagued by filler. I really need someones opinion because i've seen trailers for it and it looks interesting but i'm not sure.

I think so, but your tastes may differ. It basically revolves around playing the game of Go, so those not familiar with it will depend on the characters to enjoy it--and I think they're very appealing.

As for One Piece--you should start off by watching the first 13 or so episodes (which are handily available via streaming wink ). If you don't enjoy the show by around that point (not unimaginable, as not everyone enjoys the art style), it's probably not for you.

I personally consider it one of the best Shonen titles ever (and it has some filler arcs and padding, but I don't think it's yet reached DBZ's level, or even Naruto and Bleach's).
