MKR2 anime > MKR2 manga (manga ending was TOO light compared to MKR1 ending)
Saber Marionette J > Saber Marionette R (J was more light with slight dark for that "gray" I like)
Eva episoides 25 and 25 > End of Eva
I heard X the TV series was more "gray" than the movie, etc.

Oh yes, I hate straight romance, unless it's done well, I won't pick it up because it's all over the place and I limit myself on what I will buy. Mecha is all over the place, I own 3 mecha titles and i refuse to buy anymore. I own 1 straight romance anime, nothing else. I hate female harem shows with a male lead, I hate male harems with female leads. I've seen so much anime, I KNOW what I like. So unless you have something relating to the request, shut the hell up.

Blame Soundmonkey44, he's the that had to go on about the request I was asking about. he cna't seem to except that the 1st episode of PMMM didn't interest. it's like the world will end because I didn't like the anime. If episode #1 doesn't catch your interest, you should waste your damn time on it, simple as that.
And for you, MetalOverlord, an other CLAMP titles, the animes do tend to stay well with the manga, expect XxxHoilc. And if you watched the X movie, you nave to watch Tokyo Babylon OVAs, the OVAs and the movie are directed to go together, since Tokyo Babylon is the prequel to X.

I've heard that Monster is really faithful to the manga .
Skip Beat! Except that it needs a season 2 because it ends right at the Dark Moon arc , apart from that though the anime is really faithful to the manga .

@ Vata Raven With some anime you need to watch more than 1 episode to get a proper judgement of what the series is going to be like and alot of times you can't just judge the anime just by the genre it's in . Also I'm sorry to say this but why should it matter what the sexuality of the couple is in a romance anime ? Love is love regardless of gender and believe it or not there are some good straight romance anime that have stong female leads .
Because I don't want to have a shit load of straight romance on my shelf, I don't like romance, simple as that. Why don't you tell that to a guy? I watch the 5 collections and the damn anime doesn't get any better. And I should've stopped when the 1st episode dind't grab my attention.
I've stopped listening to other fans when they say, "oh, this show is so great, keep watching it." An anime series is viewed differently to everyone. So what is I refuse to watch more or PMMM, that's my choice, I didn't like the 1st episode. I also don't like Eureka 7, Big O, Lucky Star, Ko-n, My-Hime, Vampire Knight...my list can go on and judge them all by 1 episode and hate to say, 1 episode will always be enough to judge an anime.
