@jlaking: I didn't notice about that. For the recent news, Bandai will COMPLETELY CLOSE DOWN by November of this year. Therefore, I expect Aniplex to get Star Driver and (hopefully) dub it. I would like to see Aniplex outsource some of their future dubs to Ocean since (in terms of anime dubs) and due to "what I cannot mention anymore to prevent spamming" has put Ocean on life support. So far the only titles they can outsource to are Bakemonogatari, Nisemonogatari, Oreimo, and (if they get it) Star Driver.
Just wanted to note that Bandai is not actually closing down but is discontinuing their home video publishing and distribution business, this will be on March 1st 2013 but will only take orders November 15th or earlier. Bandai Entertainment is a subsidiary of Namco Bandai Holdings (USA) which is a massive company that is still producing games and anime in Japan, they are just shutting down their American publishing arm (well not shutting down, refocusing them).
Also while I know it won't happen, is it bad of me to secretly wish that Ocean actually folds up and goes out of business because it would mean Domayv wouldn't mention them every other post? Then again I'm sure he would just start talking about how more people should buy anime so companies could use the excess money to resurrect the dead company so they can re-dub Shana season 2.
@St0ck: You really wish for Ocean to close down because of me constantly posting about Shana season 2? That's the most retarded idea I've ever heard on the forums.
@Domayv: Ok I take it back, I do not actually wish for Ocean to close down for any reason, I do however admit it's rather bothersome that you mention it quite a bit in seemingly non-related threads.
Looking back this post of yours was made a few weeks ago so I apologize for beating you over with something you wrote so long ago, but I stand by the fact that it's a bit annoying.
Bandai still has Star Driver, they will still have until the license expires. Plus, Bandai Entertainment Inc. has not folded but is now focusing on licensing rights to other companies, particularly in digital distribution, broadcast, and merchandising.
