Then you clearly didn't like those shows as much as you thought. If you love the show, you should be willing to put up the money for it. But if you look at the series and thing the company is insane to put that price tag on the set...then you clearly weren't the fan you thought you were.

Pardon me for jumping in, but that's not necessarily true.

As much as we love anime, real life comes first. And if there's something we want that's more expensive than it should be, we can't just instant preorder without the knowledge of what else we might need that money for. Far be it for me to say how people spend their money, but I'm certain that most of us here have other financial priorities.

Then save for it. Companies give you a heads up before they put this stuff on the market. You know Anipelx has Magi, if you love the damned show, best start saving for it now because you're goign to expect a higher price. I sold anime to save up the money to per-order my Durarara BD set. If you plan to buy a Funimation release, put that back on the back burner for a bit and put the money towards the Aniplex anime...Funimation's title sure as hell ain't going anywhere anytime soon.

It's much too early to speculate on release details. Maybe Aniplex is planning on an affordable budget release for this title, especially if this ends up being a 52+ episode series.

*scratches head* That's strange. Why? AOA is capable of releasing the show on their own.... Very curious to hear why they would have Viz take care of the home video release.

Maybe it's just a partnership with Viz, like Viz will mostly just handle anime that deal with their manga. BUT, if that's not the case, then it's mostly because Viz can market it better for them.

Viz doesn't have the Magi manga to my knowledge. They do, however, have the Blue Exorcist manga and AOA released that show on their own. But AOA did go back and dub BE for Neon Alley so they might be working with Viz because they want Magi dubbed and on Neon Alley....

Re: Magi -The Labyrinth of Magic

According to some anime sites Magi only has 25 episodes and after watching the 24th episode i can't see how they can rap this up cause were just in the middle of Al-Thamen invading Sindria and there's Aladdin, Morgiana and Ren that have to take care of the now Dark Alibaba plus their all still in the Dungeon so how are they gonna rap all this up in one episode ????? hmm

Re: Magi -The Labyrinth of Magic

I remember reading something on ANN about some special announcement for Magi that's coming in late March early April so maybe it's a series 2 conformation.
