This show has been going on since Fall of 2011 now and the first impressions nearly EVERYONE was saying was "ZOMG TOO KIDDIE", "WERE MY BLOOD"
"THEY"RE GOING TOO FAST" "NO KAITO SCREW THIS SHOW(Kite btw)"etc etc. This show is currently on episode 43 in one of the series' best arcs and just wanted to know if anyone who kept with the series has a different opinion now?
Cuz I don't know about you guys, I think this is one of the best anime airing in Japan that is grossly underrated.
I have read the manga, finished the 99 series ad all of its ovas.
It'd be amazing if Funimation licensed this show in next year but I think it's highly unlikely because they are already doing 2 Ongoing shonen plus other shows. But maybe just maybe Funi wants to do this show and give it the dub/exposure it deserves : D

It's amazing so far, the manga is my personal favorite series of all time and this adaption is just perfect. While there were some minor issues regarding censorship at the beginning of the series it's absolutely no issue whatsoever now that they've stopped the censorship all together. I'm also really hoping Funi picks this up because this would be the perfect series for the new Toonami.
Also so much better than the old series which honestly sucked. It had terrible pacing and moved at a snails pace, and had a terrible art style that didn't fit the series at all. The new series is the definitive version of HxH.
I started out really liking this show, but my excitement's slowly waned ever since the main four split up. The big tournament arc's length felt disproportionate to its significance, and I have yet to be interested in the plot for Greed Island, or any of the new characters.
It might have bigger production values and better voice acting, but I have yet to see storytelling skill to rival what I've seen of Nippon's version.
