What kinds of changes were made in the Stein's Gate dub?
The episode I picked at random to try out dubbed was episode 5 "Starmine Rendezvous." I guess I'm pretty particular about this show because I enjoyed it so much, but it felt like the changes in dialog changed the personalities of the characters. I must warn you though that I'm sure most people would find them extremely nit-picky. Here are a couple examples from this episode:
[As Kurisu and Okabe are carrying the IBN 5100 back to the lab, and arguing about taking breaks]
Sub- That was meant to throw the Organization off our trail."
Dub- "I was only feigning weakness"
-This change seemed unnecessary and I think it took away from reinforcing the idea that Okabe is a "mad scientist" who is being hunted because of his (in his mind) extreme importance in the grand scheme of world events. This idea is important for the whole series and I feel that anytime it is changed like this it takes away from the character development.

I also feel the whole back and forth banter they had during this walk was much more like two friends complaining about each other in the dub, where in the Sub it is still more of a situation where it was two people who did not get along all that well. In the sub Okabe is more condescending towards someone who is beneath his greatness, and Kurisu is annoyed with someone who she really doesn't get along with that well, but has been forced to be with because of circumstance. The progression from this point to where they end up by the end of the series is a large part of the show, and I don't feel that if they are not as standoffish in the beginning it means as much.

Sub- "Endure it assistant!" [to Kurisu]
Dub-"Buck up buttercup"
-This change was totally out of character for Okabe in my mind. This implies that they have a much closer and more friendly relationship than they actually do where in fact he is a "mad scientist" who lives in his own virtual mental bubble where the only significance others have is how they fit in his world view, and she is an extremely intelligent logical person who can't help her curiosity so she has become involved in the lab.

Anyway, I made a post onto the Make Your Own Dub Cast form and listed who I would love to have in a Garden Of Sinners English Dub. I wonder what everyone's thoughts on it are, particularly Crispin Freeman as Souren Araya.

When the dub for Bleach ends VIZ will probably want another long series to fill that time slot on Adult Swim or possibly have something brand new to have on Neon Alley. They have a lot of new stuff now but what happens half a year from now when majority of those shows finish and there's no more new episodes?
They'll need new fresh dubs or eventually fans will forget about it and it will start to die.
There are plenty of titles I like that haven't been dubbed yet but there's still a chance since most are still recent.
However the Hunter x Hunter OVAs (Spider, Green Island, Greed Island Final) have ZERO % of ever being dubbed since the 1999 dub wasn't very popular, it didn't sell well for VIZ so they won't license more, the OVAs are now considered "old" = plague in the opinion of companies, and the 2011 series (which will eventually cover those arcs) is a superior show.

My favorite anime that hasn't been dubbed hmm.... let's see there's Ladies versus Butlers, To Love-Ru, Dr, Slump, Gintama and a shit load of Shin Chan & Cased Closed.
Mostly pop-culture references and a lot of the jokes. As a huge fan of the Japanese version, I was actually really impressed with the dub. Tatum put a lot of time into the script and I think its a great adaptation.
I've only seen the first 4 episodes of the dub, and absolutely adored the sub, but I found myself laughing and enjoying the dub quite a bit. It's one of the better dubs that I've come across recently.
batou brings up some points from episode 5 (which I have yet to rewatch dubbed) that will probably bug me a little bit, but overall I don't think they'll weigh too heavily on my thoughts of the dub.
As for the topic: Pandora Hearts for sure. It has a European setting and I just think a dub would've worked wonderfully with it. The ARIA franchise is another sub-only favorite, but I don't think a dub would work for it too well.

I know Aniplex has it and most likely won't ever get a dub But Oreimo is another fav I have I wish were dubed.
