So the new Dragonball Z Movie "Battle of Gods" hits theaters in Japan 3/30/13. Being a fanatic of the series for the past 15 years and knowing Funimation licences the series i have to ask. When can we hope to see the movie in the United States in English? Is there already a process going on it? If so, how far along in the process has it gone?

Can anyone explain in the trailer why Goku was steering down Bills in space thought Goku couldn't breath in space ??????????
i actually hope they clarify that bit as well since there was that whole goku couldn't get off of Namek when it was about to blow cause he couldn't breath in space stuff it'd be weird if that was the case it would be like what was all that Namek shit about ?? totally bazaar
Not sure whats up with the whole breathing in space thing....guess we'll see what happens with it. That to me is secondary to the main mission here and thats to rally up support for the movie. Japan gets it in theaters and IMAX and i would love to see it hit theaters worldwide. I would so take my family out to see it! Spread the word, get this thread sizzling hot, and lets show Funimation how much we want this movie ASAP!

Anyway, there are a number of recent Dragon Ball animations that Funimation needs to pick up:
Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans (original and remake)
Dragon Ball: Yo! Son Goku and His Friends Return!!
Dragon Ball: Episode of Bardock.
and now this movie.
Anyway, I expect that Funimation will at least license and dub Battle of Gods and Yo! Son Goku and His Friends Return!! when they start dubbing the Buu Arc of Kai. They'll be getting the cast together (including voice actors for Goten and Trunks who are in both movies) anyway, so I don't see why they wouldn't.

@Invert: The Bardock Special came as a Bonus on the DBZ 360 Kinect Game, no word on if we will ever get a regular DVD of it. Funimation Can't get Yo Son Goku & Friends Return because it was a special made for Jump Fiesta in Japan *if you'll Note VIZ also lacks the Bleach & Naruto Specials made for set event* Plan to Eradicate the saiyans is also out (for some reasons or another, don't know why exactly..but yeah...)
As for the upcoming Movie there have been RUMORS that FOX may release the U.S. version as they are helping with distribution in Japan, but at this point we don't know for sure. Odds are if Funimation can get it they will, we shall just have to wait & see.
