I don't know what to say about the first episode other than it was okay i expected more from it but it is only the first episode after all.
I don't get it when you get the main character has like 1 or 2 best friends and then they die in the first or second ep whats the point of putting them in it in the first place.
its pretty obvious why they were put in. they were put in the series so it could increase gantas pain and misery if their wasnt there wouldnt have been that much of a impact on the viewers or ganta.
@Chalryn Romi Paku is Ganta's seiyuu. Renton was voiced by Yuuko Sanpei.
@OPN The author of Deadman Wonderland drew the manga for Eureka Seven but had no involvement in the production of the anime.
My thoughts on the first episode:
The censorship really ruins the show. Its unfortunate that Deadman Wonderland isn't on AT-X. Looks like I'll be downloading the BD rips in a few months.
Well I laughed at Ganta's hearing. The way the people who tackled him and then beat the crap out of him was hilarious. I definitely didn't expect that to happen.
Damn, I was excited to see Kana Hanazawa in another role but she's doing her childish/cute voice which I'm not too fond of. The ending seemed too bright and happy for such a depressing show. The sequence before the end showing some characters was a nice preview of the other types of people who inhabit the prison. The setting of the anime really interests me. I'm excited for the games they have to take part; they seem bright and colourful but I'm sure some kind of gruesome fate awaits the contestants.
i finally sat down and watched the first two episodes, and they totally rocked. i was laughing the entire time...although i don't think i was supposed to be laughing though now that i think about it
oh well, it's defiantly on my watch list besides Qwaser.
I haven't watched any of the anime though I have been meaning to take a look at it. I have read the manga and I've been enjoying that a lot so if the anime comes out anything like that then I'd be happy. I just hope they don't hit it with a filler ending.
Okay i've seen 3 epsodes now and i can now say i like it it's getting better each week and episode 04 should be awesome now that senji has come in to it.
I saw episode 2 last Saturday(I don't have a premium membership to Crunchyroll, so I am not on the latest episode), and I have to say that I am liking DMWL a lot. The action and character designs are awesome, as is the music.

edit: 69th post FTW
This anime is pretty cool. If they do it as good as the manga (which so far it is) then ill be on board the whole way

finally watched episode 3, it was awesome. Can't wait to find episode 4. This has to be one of the best shows of the season.
