Well yes there is going to be season 2 of Angel Beats but it is coming in I think 2012 I know because the people who are making Angel Beats told me on Facebook, plus there is a high chance of it because if you see the ending after the credits there is one seen where Otanashi seeing Kanada and then it is so yes there will be season 2 Of Angel Beats and all that say no are WRONG.
I am also an angel beats facebook member and their has been no confirmation on a second season! Their are plenty fans claiming there will be a season 2, But until until there is a credible source of confirmation it is just fanbase speculation!
@codegeass - Aiming towards your first post, when you were talking about them being rushed to make the anime, I would like to see a remake of Angel Beats! as well with around 25 episodes. I really wanted more character development, especially with Yuri and Kanade and Otonashi. It would be nice if they were to remake it and include how the hell Yuri died, 'coz it really bothered me how we didn't find out. Also, I never really liked Kanade and Otonashi's relationship. Otonashi just fell in love with Kanade way too quickly so I was never able to actually like that couple.
For those who don't know, there is a manga about what happens before Otonashi shows up and it's about how the SSS was formed. That could be a second season. I don't want a new season with a ton of new people. I'd still watch it, but it wouldn't be the same.

Yeah I dislike they way otonashi feel in love with kanade without any reasoning behind it or emotionally build up! To be honest I thought otonashi thought of kanade as he did of his little sister yuzuru! Around episode 8 I was absolutely convinced yuzuru was kanade! I think it would be better of them to make a remake than another season! Their where a lot of intriguing characters who never had any character development or any time with them being shown! I believe cause the series was cut short it not only hindered the main characters development it also left out a lot of the side characters from getting screen time!

Unfortunately, there are two very, very large problems with the plot--the first being the ending, the second being a huge inconsistency with the beginning of the series.
First, the ending of the series isn't clearly defined. Do they meet up? Or does he stay behind? Or is it both? Secondly, there's the larger problem of how the person who got his heart died before he did. I mean, it's just not explained whatsoever. If she had gotten his heart and died as a result of it failing, wouldn't he have still died first? Of course he would have. This means there was something going on BEFORE the first episode where he wakes up... was he an NPC?
Plenty of room is for sure, but whether these two questions will ever be answered... who knows.

The reason why kanade showed up before otonashi is unclear. It could have been a time warp phenomenon or something else like that. But the series would have never have existed if they did it any other way! Anime is not all reality based!
Also there is a small 3mins ova that shows otonashi stayed behind to help other souls move on and find the peace they deserve.
As far as if they ever where reincarnated in another life that is something that is unclear and I sincerely hope they where and got to be together!!!
As far as who the programmer was that is one of those things that still remains a mystery.
I wish more than anything they would make a season 2 or a remake of this amazing series!!!!!!!!!!!
Keys was unfortunately rushed to finish this series. And was unable to create the anime he had envisioned!! He had originally intended for the series to be 26 episodes, And give more character development and a more decisive ending!
Sadly as far as a season 2 or a remake it is looking grim at the moment but all we can do is continue to hope!!!
