Toriko anime discussion

The anime starts tonight replacing Dragon Ball Kai! Discuss here!

they completely took out all the blood,toriko smoking and changed bobs skin color from black to white i can understand the first two but changeing bobs skin color has no excuse.but i will still follow the series.

Nice first episode.

I'm not a fan of the edits. I wish they would've kept it a more mature show, but I liked the feel better.

The OVA seemed a lot more ominous/dark, and almost repulsive when showing the people's obsession with food.

But, the series feels more light-hearted and humurous, more reminiscent to the manga.

The animation doesn't seem as good as the OVA, but I still liked it.

I wish FUNi would've stuck to the original and made the Toriko x One Piece Collab episode 1, but this is truly the start of the series, so it only makes sense.

Looking forward to more, keep up the good work FUNi!

Anyway, they definitely cut out many things from the first chapter of the manga. Still, nonethless the episode was great. The anime is already off to a great start.

That is interesting. I suppose that means it's good even though there are two episodes out (the crossover and then the first episode).

Watched the 1st Episode last night, thought it was pretty good, look foward to watching the rest of the series, hopefully Funi will eventually release it on DVD.
