Re: Question, on shakugan no shana Second, and ova's?
Except for Dragon Ball Z/GT, I never watched an anime with English dub, when I play Funimation DVDs, the first thing I do is to switch the language to Japanese, so I don"t really know how people feel who buy Funimation titles for reason of the English dub, however I think that it is better to have it redubbed, than to not release it at all.
Re: Question, on shakugan no shana Second, and ova's?
Well we already know the casting now. And sadly like we already figured not a singel returning cast memeber. 100% all new. Well I'll miss the old cast but hopefully funi's cast will be just as good. Its just gunna be hard at first to adjust to the diffrent casts. But ah well such is life. Casting *per ANN*:

What you linked to is the first season with the original Geneon dub, and was released three years ago. The re-release scheduled for next Tuesday will retain the Geneon dub.
The complete second season will probably get repackaged as a single set about a year after it's initial North American release, which is slated for December.
Re: Question, on shakugan no shana Second, and ova's?
as much as it pains me to say it, since i love the voice actors in all there other shows from Funi - i wasnt too impressed with the "new" dub actors for Shana 2, you cant watch the first season and then the second have all new voices, just doesnt sound right to me at all, i didnt even want to watch the second episode of season 2
Re: Question, on shakugan no shana Second, and ova's?
@Parkus13: Agreed. The only one that was good was Cherami Leigh's performance as shana. Everyone else doesn't sound right (Yuji voice sounds older than what it should be and is just colorless version of S1's edition)
Re: Question, on shakugan no shana Second, and ova's?
When I first watched the series it was subbed so I'll probably not watch the dubbed version. (I have it in my head how they are supposed to sound so it is odd watching the dub.) All I can say is I'm glad they picked up the other season's and released them. Not to mention reissuing the first season. I love this series enough to buy the reissue of the first season. Don't want them to have an excuse of it not selling to stop them from release the others seasons. Yes I know that is highly unlikely but I'm paranoid like that.
