I just finished the 3rd volume and I gotta say WOW! Those last four episodes in all likely hood were the very best episodes of anime I have ever seen in conjunction! It took an anime that was contender to be in my top ten favorite animes to becoming my fourth favorite anime of all time! It was one of those rare animes that really did live up to it's hype by most!
Just about every episode had it's own emotionally intake! And remand an emotionally roll coaster till the very end! And the ending was very sublime! I was really worried how they we going to have a satisfying ending with only four episodes. Yet it delivered one of more conclusive ending than we normally see in anime! (especially for a 12 episode series)
Another thing I loved about the series it had a little bit of everything anyone could ask for very diverse in it's genre's! And I was very surprised to see that it had a bittersweet ending!
Overall ONE OF THE BEST ANIMES OF ALL TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AWWW! I've never seen lelouch look so adorably moe! Or suzaku for that matter! XD
I've just started watching this acclaimed show. Reposting some thoughts from another thread:
One episode in, and I'll say it's really good at horror, with really good use of shadows (at contrast with the bright and happy-looking world), and surreal settings that look like an unholy combination of the styles of Salvador Dali and Terry Gilliam.
Spoiler: Highlight to view
Also, even if I hadn't been given some not quite spoilery info, I'd go ahead and guess that Kyubey's gonna end up being evil. He just looks so...creepy.
Awesome anime - It has to be the number one anime of all time for me!
Spoiler: Highlight to view
Although it was very sad at the end how Madoka Made her wish at the end it was also very touching. Even though Madokas wish made it so she would be wiped of the face of earth and it was like she never excisted, Homura felt as if she knew someone really close to her and that is why she fights the ghouls now. And Madoka's mom even said that she thought Madoka was a beutiful name so its like she was never forgotten
I <3 this anime forever! /人◕ ‿‿ ◕人\

7jaws7: I'm done with episode three--and while I'm not sure I can praise your spoiler scene that much, it is well-done. And incredibly gruesome.
A quarter of the way through the show, and it's an odd feeling. I don't feel like I've personally attached myself to it yet, but after each episode, I'm always bursting with anticipation (in a terrified way) to see what happens next. I think that's a good sign.
Also, I don't think the show's music will ever leave my head. It's that hauntingly beautiful.

It might seem like I'm overrating that scene, but for me, it's all about the timing.
Spoiler: Highlight to view
If it happens too early, we don't get a real sense of loss for Mami. Not to mention we wouldn't even get a chance to be fooled into thinking this is another magical girl anime. If it happens too late, the whole scene would just feel awkward and the audience might not take it seriously.
You have to set the tone at just the right moment for something to have an impact. I've never seen anything else in anime executed so well. Not everyone will agree with me, of course.
I finally got around to checking out JesuOtaku's review for Madoka, it has deffinantly gotten me interested enough to actually sit down and watch it...sadly I can't justify spending the $$$ it would cost to buy all the Blu-Rays...oh well one more thing to add to the Christmas list along with the Tenchi re-releases, Penquindrum, and Bleach:Hellverse. *Santa is gonna shoot me XD*

Okay, this news is just a tad old in interwebz time (9/13) but it really should be posted here.
First two Madoka films to be screened in 5 U.S. cities
I know Madoka isn't quite as big around here as other sites, but I'm still surprised a certain someone didn't bring this up
It was too much work to find the thread and I didn't think anyone would care
Don't forget. Always, somewhere, someone is fighting for you.
As long as you remember Her, you are not alone.
