I teared up, and was really mad at Key. But I saw a comment on a YT video on how it showed the person how precious life is or something like that. And I think that the depression that I've had for some months now is finally going away.
Thank you Air
I wish more people watched anime. I don't like the 'western' idea that 'cartoons' are for kids (yes, even though we have shows like south park and family guy....the common consensus is that cartoons and such are for kids). Watching Air (along with other similar anime) showed me what was most important, what I should treasure, how lucky I am, E.I. A LOT! It's heartbreaking that Misuzu's mom was so reluctant to accept her. She feared that, if she got too close, it would destroy her moreif she left her like her sister. When she finally resolved to obtain full custody of Misuzu and open her heart, Misuzu dies, just like that.
The ending for the story kinda upset me, but for how the story started, that ending made me sade. But As for emoitonal, Clannad and Kanon were much better.
And I agree with deli's thoughts.
i pretty much agree with newshawk. it was sad especcily after watching again where i felt like crying but clannad after storys ending made me cry and made me feel sooo sorry for tomoya.
OMG you are one hundred percent right, it was my first Anime, watching it at 3 in the morning.... i was so sad
I thought that Air was really good, considering the actual length of the series. I was impressed that Air moved me so much in only 12 episodes. I wave my finger at all the people comparing this to Kanon and Clannad; don't get me wrong, those two are definitely in my top favorite animes of all time. It's just that Air hits you in a different way than those two shows. Air is all about how each mother of the winged child abandoned their child, except for Misuzu's "mom". The ending was incredibly touching and didn't seem fair. Any anime that can make me cry is given my two thumbs up, I consider this to be on equal ground as Kanon and Clannad. It seems like any thing Key touches is gold. lol

I agree. AIR is just fantastic, even though it is incredibly sad and bitersweet. Personally though, I feel like there's a certain hopefullness at the end because the curse was finally broken. The endless and tragic cycle was broken so maybe, in the next life, happiness can be had. And after so many lifetimes of sorrow, there's sure to be something better awaiting their souls.

I reject your reality and replace it with my own.
I cried through out parts of the series, especially at the end. It was really sad but not as sad as clannad afterstory.
I teared up and stopped myself from crying when I saw the movie. I was prepared when I finished the anime.

I agree it was bittersweet and not tragic, thank you for pointing that out to me. I think the next time I watch it , I might finish with a smile.
