My only concern is that there are still plenty of issues with the website (hence why it is STILL in beta a year later).

I think it's great that FUNi is developing a mobile app. I really do. But when the web platform is still not working up to a certain standard, to split the focus once again, and to charge money on top of that, can be quite off-putting.

I still hope to become an elite subscriber someday, and soon. Money is not a problem, but I will not spend one dime until the site can function well regularly over a longer period than 2 weeks.

I hope this app extends to the Blackberry Playbook

I can't think of a time when I'd ever use something like this... short of maybe long road trips or something..

If I'm home, then I'd watch stuff on TV or my computer. If I'm out... then I don't think I'd be watching stuff at all..

All I have to say is... Yay! I have been waiting for this day for sometime now. Thank you Anime Gods! ^_^

Not really all that excited that we have to pay for the app on top of the elite subscription... I mean if it's like 99 cents it won't be that bad, but I wont pay anymore than that for an app I probably won't use all that much. Especially considering that Crunchyroll and The Anime Network don't charge for their apps... and with how slow and clunky this site is, I'm not expecting much from Funimation's mobile dev team.

Maybe one of the reasons they haven't set a price is that they want some feedback first from users... I think it would be nice to let Elite members grab a free/discounted app. Again though if it's like a dollar or two.. I don't care, but $5 or $10, not worth it for me.

I was hoping for the app to go on the forums and news of this website. I think you should add that

Yay! I'm so looking forward to this. Doing an app for iPhone/Android is the perfect start for addressing the mobile market.

When the app gets released, I'll be cancelling my netflix, possibly crunchyroll as well...provided that the full Funimation app is ad free and commercial free. I wouldn't mind paying a higher subscription rate for that.

I <3 to watch as much anime as possible, this will help a lot!

@Onlera I understand what you're saying. But I think they did a good move with this. I mean if they took off the ads then what? Nobody would bother with elite. Or about paying for it. I'm pretty sure it won't be so much. And if it really bugs you.. maybe you shouldn't get it? Not trying to sound like a jerk. But if people have been waiting for the app like I have, I'm sure they wouldn't mind this one time small fee. But you made some good points.
