This portion of the contest is over. To see the winning entry click this link.

We hope you all liked the first question in our Baka & Test: Dumbest. Contest. Ever. event. When we asked all of you to think as a member of Class F you sure didn't disappoint.

It was a tough decision but the winner of Question #1 is VonOfnir - welcome to Class F!
Question: You’re on a train that leaves New York for Orlando at 8AM, going 60 mph. Three hours later, a train leaves Orlando for New York, going 85 mph. Orlando and New York are 1200 miles apart. What time will you be able to see the other train pass?
Answer:
Teacher: "Yes, you in the back."

Boy: "Well..."

(and thus begins a conversation in his head)

- wait a second, what if there is weather?

**eyes widen**

- Is it winter? How much snow is on the ground? Is it snow or is it ice? What if it's a mixture?
What if it's not winter, maybe it's spring?

**starting to panic**

- If it's spring and we're travelling around hills or mountains...OH GOD, MOUNTAINS!!!! That
means...

**jaw drops**

- MUDSLIDES!!!!!

**closes mouth and now has an inquisitive look on his face**

- But it could be in the summer...nice weather, can see everything.

**closes eyes and imagines the image with a relaxed smirk on his face**

- The animals on the farm grazing without any problems in the world. People walking around in
love, walking hand in hand. Workers working hard at their jobs. Oh it's starting to get a little dark,
must be rain. Wind is starting to pick up a bit...a lot actually.

** as a cow flies by in his dream, he snaps out of trance with eyes wide open and jaw dropped
and super panicked as he stands straight up and runs out of the classroom in terror screaming...
(which ends his own conversation in his head)

Boy: "HURRICANE!!!!!! AAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!! **crying**

Teacher looks confused and struck with awe.

Teacher: "Uhhh..."

**Teacher sees a girl with her hand raised intently as if she knows the answer.**

Teacher: How about you miss?

Girl: "6:05PM?"

synopsis: Class F is back in the Baka and Test - Summon the Beasts: OVA Special Collection! Fumizuki Academy's popular Refreshing Festival is quickly approaching, and the student body is busy prepping class projects. For Yoshii and the gang, there's a lot more at stake than showing off for campus visitors. If Class F doesn't profit from its festival project and buy some new gear for its dumpy room, Mizuki's parents are going to send her to another school! Of course, even if the slack pack makes some money, they'll have to win one of the toughest Summoner Test Wars of their lives before they're allowed to spend it. It's not going to be easy, that's for sure. But once the underachievers of Class F get motivated, they don't give up - and they can't even spell surrender!

The sky is blue because the clouds would put a smack down on the sky if it wasn't their favorite color.

The sky is blue because the world is depressed and cold.

Because the sky is mocking the ocean. It's saying "ha ha I'm above you.". The ocean has always hated the sky for it, which is why a ghost of a hobo is always seen yelling random things at the sky. There have been may battles in the days of old between the sky and ocean, none of which have been pretty.

Teacher: Why is the sky blue?

Me thinking to myself: Obviously because it's my favorite color! Wait a second, my favorite color is green so that can't be right. Hmmmmm...I GOT IT! The ocean is blue so the sky must be the ocean and the ocean the...sky? WAIT! THAT MUST BE IT!! THE EARTH ISN'T ROUND!!

*Student raises hand

Teacher: Yes?

Me still deep in thought: Unless it is and were just stuck inside of this sphereacle object and the ocean is just part of the sky that is leaking in because there's a hole in the sphere!! But wait, that means that were gonna drown in this sphere OMG WE'RE ALL GONNA DROWN!!! hold on, calm down! I know I've heard this story before.... A civilization in a sphere stuck under water...

Student: Doesn't it have to do with the reflecti*BANG!*

I slam my hands down on my desk, eyes wide, sweat rolling down my face. The whole class turns around to see me standing at my desk.

Me: ATLANTIS!!!!!

The sky is blue because Sunlight interacts with the Earth's atmosphere making the sky blue. As the sun drops to the horizon, sunlight has more atmosphere to pass through and loses more of its blue wavelengths. The orange and red, having the longer wavelengths and making up more of sunlight at this distance, are most likely to be scattered by the air particles. I learned this in Science class tongue

Well its obvious that people got really big ladders not the small kind like the 40 ft tall ladders and went into space and threw a lot of blue paint into it and because stuff floats in space the paint didnt fall back down to the big ball we live on (cant remember what its called) so can i have candy for answering right.

The student looked out the window and thought to himself before he attempted to answer the question.

"It has to do with light." The student finally spoke up.

The teacher was surprised. "Very good, but why does it have to do with light?"

"It has to do with light entering the atmosphere." The student now said with more confidence.

"And?..." The teacher was now getting getting really excited. Had the class actually learned something for once?

"...and angels." The student lead on some more.

The teacher began to smile. "And what about angles?" He was so close.

"Well, when light enters the atmosphere..."

As the student continued the teacher leaned forward with glee.

"You know, light's like, going really fast. Like REALLY fast. Probably faster than a super-sonic jet..."

The teacher's confident expression began to fade, but she remained optimistic.

"And when stuff enters the atmosphere it burns up. And things that move fast can get really hot. Then, you know, things that are hot turn different colors depending on how hot they are. I think it's, red, yellow, orange, blue, white, purple, maroon, minty green, then blue again. I'm not so sure about those last ones."

The teacher held her expression, ashamed at herself for the foolish optimism.

The student continued, "...but light's going fast enough to turn to that final blue when it burns in the atmosphere. Like lightning. So, you know, the sky's blue because all that light from the sun and moon are burning up in the atmosphere. I also should mention that the sky's red at dusk because it's star's light traveled really far and lost speed over time. So when that entered the atmosphere, it was only moving fast enough to turn red or orange."

The teacher slowly raised her arm to the side.

The student smiled, satisfied with his answer. "Do I pass?"

The teacher's hand now pointed firmly at the door. "Get the f**k out of my classroom."

Answer:

Student 1: Because it's the color of choice that God wears for panties

Teacher: ...are you suggesting that God is female? Or a crossdresser?

Student 1: Guy, girl, what's it matter? As far as i'm concerned God's confirmed gender is Hideyoshi. Even if God is just a pretty dude in drag like our resident idiot ace Akihisa, that's perfectly fine too. After all, what's gender matter when it comes to love?

Teacher: Your mind truly is as open as the blue sky.
