Ocean is fine but i for one did not like there Black Lagoon dub now Death Note inuyasha shakugan no shana and ranma 1/2 were some of my fav. but you are asking if the future of anime being dubbed going to be that all animes are dubbed at Texas? well right now the 2 main top companies that bring out anime fast are Funimation and Sentai Filmworks both are in Texas so yes thats the place to be a VA the only other placees that still dub anime are Viz and Aniplex USA both seem to use california for dubs but Viz dose use Ocean from time to time.

I'm from the US, not Canada nor the UK.

But Ocean can get on what you call "Funimation level" if they pull off the dubs correctly, like Shana, Black Lagoon, and Death Note. Sometimes, their dubs might even surpass what you call "Funimation level", like Black Lagoon. Not to mention, their voices also fit the characters just as well as Funimation's, sometimes even better. Using Ocean Studios for some of Funimation's dubs would add a variety to their dubs since attentive viewers of Funimation-dubbed shows are starting to easily recognize that voice and whose English VA voices him/her (like Brina Palencia for Hideyoshi from Baka and Test and Ciel from Black Butler).
I am sorry but i have to disagree, Ocean dubs are absolutely horrible and are at best amateur level, the only thing they got right was Death Note, but other that that everything else they have dubbed in my opinion sucks.
As for the Shana specials featuring Index & Nagi Sanzenin their roles were so minimal that it would be ridiculous for Funimation to look for the VA's or try to maintain consistency with the Shana specials, and besides the dub was horrible so they shouldn't.
If Funimation decides to use the Ocean Studios for the dub It would ruin the Index series, and I might not even buy the show in the U.S, even though its one of my all time favorite anime series.
I'm with Funimation Dubbing it all the way, the hell with Ocean.

Ocean Studios is not a horrible dubbing studio. In fact some of their dubs are really good, sometimes even better than "Funimation level", like Black Lagoon, which some top anime critics say that it even betters the Japanese language track.

Are you telling me that for the dub casts of Shana season 2-3, the movie and OVAs, and Black Lagoon season 3, Funimation should eschew the dub casts in favor for in-house casts? If they did that, that would ruin Shana and Black Lagoon in terms of English dub and would be a giant insult to Shana and Black Lagoon fans, as well as anime critics alike since their English dubs were good enough, so there's no need to use in-house casts for future installments. Funimation reprised the same cast from Hellsing Ultimate 1-4 for 5-8 and used the same studio (New Generation Pictures) so they should do the same with Shana and Black Lagoon. Besides, Shana's English dub was a good dub, and whoever said that Ocean dubs suck entirely without any exceptions, seriously sucks sh!t from a crazy straw when it comes with opinions about dubs.

No, I only meant that the VA's roles of Index & Nagi Sanzenin in the Shana specials should not be carried over into the index series. I never said that they should replace the entire cast of the Shana or Black Lagoon series, even though i think they should, but that would be an insult to the fans who are already use to the current dub. Once a series is Dubbed theirs no changing it, unless it was really bad like the first One Peace dub haha.
Anyways, all I am saying is that I don't want an Ocean Dub for the Index series, because I don't think they're good enough and I think it would ruin the series, unless a miracle happens again: wink, wink, Death Note.

Nagi's from Hayate, not Index so you might as well mention that.

And you mentioned previously that all Ocean dubs are absolutely bad except for Death Note, which made me think that Funimation should eschew the original dub casts for Shana season 2-3, the movie and OVAs, Black Lagoon season 3 in favor for in-house casts.

Ocean Studios is not a bad dubbing studio, and they can pull off very good dubs as opposed to your so-called "miracle dubs" they can only do at and everything else they do is sh!t.
Domayv first stop cussing that dose not help your point. and 2 are u sure your from the usa as iv never seen anyone from the states so Ocean strong. yes thay have had good dubs but thay have had meny dubs that are on par with 4kids dragonball z haha Ocean took that and destroyed it and Black Lagoon was ok it was not anything epic dont forget your on a Funimation page and we are here to talk about index your point to have them use Ocean to dub index was not a very strong one. and to tell the truth id rather see Funi dub the Black Lagoon OVA as it be nice to see there take on voices thats my opinion. and you bring up them geting the ppl for hellsing well its more easy as thay are The Leader in Videogame Recording & Localization in the usa so working with them is very easy Ocean is outside the usa so??
2 are u sure your from the usa as iv never seen anyone from the states so Ocean strong.
Yes I am from the US (I was born in Westwood, California). Why, is it traitorous for a person born in the to be pro-Ocean for an English dub?

You're underestimating Ocean Studios. 4Kids dubs are A LOT more worse than Ocean Studios dubs. I'm not kidding.

it means its a lot easier for funi to use New Generation Pictures then Ocean Studios thats why thay are doing that with hell sing. and the Black Lagoon OVAs are only what 5 or 6 eps why go all out and track down all the Ocean VAs? but im sure Funi will do so im just saying it dose not kill a dub if its not the same VAs ppl just have to deal with it look at Saiyuki a show i love to death when geneon did the SaiyukiReload/ Saiyuki Gunlock dubs it was a new cast but it did not kill the show for me in fact i did enjoy geneons dub more. same with dbz Ocean Studios did the first haf then Funi did the rest did it kill the dub not at all. all im saying is if thay chose to use an in house dub for the Black Lagoon OVAs and Shakugan no Shana it wont kill the dub maybe for some but for others it will work out.

New Generation Pictures was the studio that dubbed Hellsing and Hellsing Ultimate. Why, Funimation can't afford to use Ocean studios for the dub of Shana season 2-3, movie and OVAs, and Black Lagoon season 3?! You're putting Funimation in a situation that they can't afford to bring back the same cast because of the DBZ Ocean Dub, which happened more than a decade ago, and it's done and over with.
Spoiler: Highlight to view
Funimation at that time was an extremely small company, so they couldn't afford to dub in-house. So instead they contracted Saban Entertainment to financially assist them in dubbing the series, which Funimation chose Ocean Studios for the dub. Eventually, Funimation and Saban parted ways. Because of that, Funimation couldn't afford to use Ocean anymore so they began to dub in-house. Already they were getting bombarded by emails and letters from rabid DBZ fans. If they did nothing, they would lose a big opportunity. They had no choice but to hire some actors off the road and a few others who starred in plays (Stephanie Nadolny, Sean Schemmel) and telephone operators (Chris Sabat) to dub Dragonball Z. These new voice actors were mostly amateurs back then, unlike Ocean’s professionals. Now I already know that the Ocean dub of 53/67 was terrible but it was because of the edits done. For the voices, they actually sounded well enough for the characters. Funimation's dub of the series for seasons 3-4 were actually so bad that they had to re-dub it twice. They also intended on bringing the dub to Europe and Canada but everyone hated the Funimation dub because it sounded too "Americanized".

Well, New Generation's located in California while Ocean is located in Vancouver, Canada, and it's best if they get back the same casts and use the same studio. That's what Funimation did with Hellsing Ultimate.
