do you want to wait for them to license rescue Hayate n such
Yeah because Bandai's dead and their license to that series has expired.

Index and Nagi Sanzenin may be in Shakugan no Shana-tan specials but that dose not mean Funi wants to try and track down the VAs just too dub index
They are (Shakugan no Shana-tan Revenge), and if Funimation gets the remaining Shakugan no Shana-tan specials and dubs them, an alternative (but extremely complicated method) would involve dubbing Index and Nagi Sanzenin (if Funimation rescues Hayate) in-house (if Sentai rescues Hayate and dubs it, then Nagi would be dubbed at Seraphim Digital) and splice those tracks with the rest of the track (Ocean-dubbed). So it's best, for consistency, to have Index, Railgun, and Hayate (in Funimation rescues it) dubbed at Ocean.
Honestly, as a very brief appearance in a spin-off.... it doesn't exactly warrant the consistency card and doesn't nearly justify the extra cost.
But still, or if Funimation decides to dub Index, Railgun, and Hayate (if they rescue it from Bandai) in-house and license the remaining Shakugan no Shana-tan specials and dub them, do an extremely complicated alternative that involves dubbing Index and Nagi Sanzenin (if the rescue Hayate) (or if Sentai rescues Hayate and dubs it, dub it via Seraphim Digital) in-house and splice those two tracks with the rest of the English track (Ocean-dubbed). I suggest it (and Hayate if Funimation rescues the series) be dubbed by Ocean Studios because dubbing Shakugan no Shana-tan Revenge by Ocean would be less complicated than dubbing Index, Railgun, and Hayate (if they rescue it) in-house (then dubbing Index and Nagi Sanzenin in-house for Shakugan no Shana-tan Revenge and splicing those two tracks with the rest of the English track (Ocean-dubbed)).
Domayv well since theres no talk of them geting Hayate the Combat Butler and the fact that Bandai Entertainment did not dub the show. i dont see why Funi would grab that show all 52 eps a show that did not do very well in the states dub it just to dub index and others and get Ocean. what your asking is too much and then your saying if Sentai rescues Hayate and dubs it, dub it via Seraphim Digital) in-house and splice those two tracks you do understand Funi is sueing Sentai right? so yes your asking for far too much work its much more reasonable and will cost them less to just dub index them self and heres a fun fact Bandai Entertainment is not dead so thay still own Hayate the Combat Butler Bandai is still puting out there old shows just not geting anything new. so lets see here your asking Funi to buy Hayate the Combat Butler from Bandai {and who knows how much Bandai will ask for it} then dub the show then get Ocean and pay them to dub index Hayate the Combat Butler ect? thats some cost and theres no way Funi will do that its a good dream.

Funimation hasn't looked at Bandai's catalog yet so I'm pretty sure that they will around now and rescue any show from the list.

Yeah that's why I'm asking Funimation to rescue it and finally dub it.

Well, if Shakugan no Shana-tan Revenge was never made, this wouldn't be a problem. But because it was made and featured Index and Nagi, I'm suggesting Funimation to rescue Hayate and dub Index, Railgun, and Hayate via Ocean for consistency.

What I'm saying is if Funimation rescues Hayate and dubs that show, alongside with Index and Railgun in-house, and to dub the Shakugan no Shana-tan Specials, they would have to do an extremely complicated method that involves dubbing Index and Nagi in-house and splicing those two tracks with the rest of the English track (Ocean dubbed). If Sentai rescues Hayate and dubs it, then Funimation would have to dub Nagi via Seraphim Digital (or just get the VA who did Nagi (possibly Monica Rial since people say her voice is suitable for Nagi) and dub her in-house), and again, splice those two tracks with the rest of the English track (Ocean-dubbed).

a fun fact Bandai Entertainment is not dead so thay still own Hayate the Combat Butler
I heard from a post that Bandai's rights to the series have expired sometime by either March or April of this year, and Funimation did a survey of shows people would like to see licensed and dubbed by Funimation in North America, and Hayate season 2 was among those shows.

They're not going to renew their titles so they'll still have it until their rights to them have expired, and I don't think they're going to attend any more anime conventions beyond the date that they've stopped licensing stuff.
Complicated? Well, I can simplify it: Simply keep the original track as is and do all the newly licensed stuff in-house.
So that means you want the Shana-tan specials to be entirely dubbed in-house. If that happens, then those specials would be ruined in terms of English dub. If you want it "simplified" that would mean dubbing the Shakugan no Shana-tan Revenge by Ocean (everyone else except Index and Nagi), then dubbing those two characters in-house, and splicing those two tracks into the rest of the English track.

There. Pretty simple.
A brief spot does not ground for the consistency card make. Unlike the actual Shana series, it's not even a quarter-length legacy project.
Nobody with good business sense would toss that extra cash for that reason alone.
^ This. Frankly, I trust Funi's dubs *way* more than any other company. I can't really think of any bad dubs by Funi at the top of my head, compared to others (Aniplex:Madoka!!! Bandai:K-on! ?:Mai-Hime...). I always try to re-watch titles once they're dubbed and, I have to admit, I haven't had to switch audio for any of their titles (as opposed to those mentioned).
Anyways, I'm sure they're going to do a great job with Index and Railgun, and I can't wait!
100% agree with lilly_938 and Ninja_Shinigami_Mage its just faster and more easy for Funi to dub the shows. and like lilly says Funi all ways gives 100% so it will all work out .

Yeah but Ocean has also done some of the best dubs heard, such as Black Lagoon and Death Note. The only Funimation dub that was considered as "outstanding" was Baccano!. Yes Funimation is very good at dubs but Ocean is also very good at them as well, and there's gonna come a time that Funimation VAs are just going to be used too much, and using Ocean for some dubs will add a variety since if Geneon USA managed to pull very good dubs from Ocean, Funimation could do the same. And why, is the future of anime being dubbed going to be that all animes are dubbed at Texas?!

For Shakugan no Shana, it's a different story.
I am looking forward to hearing news about Index and Railgun, though..including a casting call.
