I know I'm reviving a 2 month old thread but its not like this forum is very popular anyway so I wanted to toss in my two cents.

Misaka's nickname should be Sparky only because its what the English version of the manga used and Funimation should respect consistency issues for fans.

Next for Kuroko's Onee-sama It's quite hard to find a suitable equal but Sissy seems wrong since to me that sounds like something more equal to a -chan honorific. Though not perfect and probably closer to ojou-sama I would elect Lady Misaka or Miss Misaka.
I’d still Prefer Shocker over Sparky, but Sparky sounds a little bit more feminine (Spelled Right?). Now about "Onee-sama", Your Idea is very good with the "lady" or "Miss", but she'll start to sound the Radio Noise Sisters if she says "Misaka" after saying Lady or Miss all the time.
EDIT: the Quote Function doesn’t want to work for me.
EDIT 2: Thanks EyeOfPain, it worked but the "{br}"'s now show up
It'd be nice to keep consistency between the manga and anime, it wouldn't be the first time publishers didn't agree.
Having said that, I do prefer 'Sparky' the best, as it feels most natural compared to 'Shocker' and 'Zapper'. It's always possible that someone on the production committee was like, "I like 'bug zapper', go with that!" Leaving FUNi with no choice in the matter.
Sissy really doesn't sound right, especially when coming from both the Sisters and Kuroko.
sprchr7: Try replacing line breaks with: {br} (without using Shift). That should stop your quote blocks from breaking.
I wouldn't care if they called Mikoto bug zapper or sparky, it works both ways. She kinda reminds me of Colonel Volgin from Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater (At least from the lightning powers that they both use).

If you can't find it, what makes you think I can?

EDIT: Of course [code] doesn't work.

As far as the whole "Sparky" "Bug Zapper" "Zapper" thing, I'm somewhat indifferent.
But "Sissy" for "Oneesama"?!
Seeing it in subtitles was bad enough.
Hearing it coming from Kuroko's English dub voice was even worse. She sounded all of five years old.
