Well, if Funi's going to release a "premium" edition of Shana S2 & beyond with an alternate track by the original cast (if the releases sell well enough to the point that they would cover the costs that would appear had it been outsourced first) and include the Shana-tan and Naze Nani Shana shorts as extras (dubbed with the original cast), then for Shana-tan Revenge now they'll have to splice Index's voice (and possibly Nagi's voice unless dubbed via Ocean) with the rest of the track.
We need a Bluray release for this Funimation! This is one of my favorite anime series and i won't be buying it if it isn't released on Bluray, it hurts me to say that. i tweeted Funimation about it and haven't gotten a reply yet so i'm losing hope here.
Does thier license allow bluray? if the licensing company doesn'want reverse impotation they may not have allowed bluray.
It might, but I think the reason we're not getting Blu-Ray is FUNimation is skiddish about it. Think about it, it's been two years since FUNimation announced they had the license. At some point, some people would find themselves tired of waiting and would either import the Blu-Ray version from Japan with or without subs and others (presumably in larger numbers) would just say "screw it" and torrent the fansubs. Both options are pretty anoxic to FUNimation's bottom line. I'm pretty sure if this sells well the "Complete FIrst Season" box set will include BD.
Hopefully if they do release the blu-ray later it won't be an upscale. I hate when they do that. It sucks cause a lot of titles that should of came with a blu-ray release had the blu-ray version pulled because of fears or reverse importation(even if Funimation has the license for it). Heaven's lost property forte is a prime example:-/
Season 1 has been dubbed and there are plans to starting releasing some time this year.

Any Ideas when this year it's coming out
Well according to rightstuf a dvd release will be on Oct 30 2012. Doesn't seem like we'll be getting a blu-ray release:(.

I really doubt reverse importing is a concern for a four-year-old series.
