The first four episodes were interesting to watch. I think I'm going to have to re-watch them though to solidify my opinion. It isn't a perfect sounding dub so far, but it's definitely good enough for me to want to keep watching. Re-watching it may change my opinion, who knows?
One thing I had expected in a certain... translation didn't happen though (at least not yet)! I'll leave that as a secret for now, it may ruin the anticipation.
WTF since when does kuroko a lisbiean teen, sound exactly like conan edogawa. I love case closed and I would to hear more of conan edogawa but I seriously don't want to hear it come out of kuroko. She's a major charcter heck she is one of the main charcters in railgun how did they think giving a girl a guys voice was going to work, let alone that screams about her "sister" constantly I don't even like kuroko and I am not getting the half sets or probably even the first box set for this anymore. I guess we should have seen this coming when they translated oneesama (big sister) as Sissy.
I now name conan edogawa's english voice an omen of death to charcters that have it adressed to them and all series it appears in.
I think Alison Viktorin is a wonderful actress but an actor/actress can only be as good as the person guiding them in some cases and the direction for kuroko is 100% wrong
If you think that's strange, Brittney Karbowski was cast as Black Star and Micah Solusod as Soul Eater Evans in Soul Eater. When I see a certain Imagine Breaker fighting a certain Railgun... I crack up a little thinking about a scene in Soul Eater episode 6 about 13:30 in (so you can go see for yourselves).

I know what you mean. I can't wait to hear some of those moments myself...
Kuroko is supposed to sound feminine she sounds at best gender neutral.
I am a huge case closed fan, so I would probably be able to spot that voice or a similar one out easily and see conan talking instead of thee intend character. that said It is going to be very hard to pull off the kuroko freaking out about onee-sama bits and railgun is going to be hard to.
Following the first four eps its a pretty decent dub, definetly not the best, but I like it alot more now that I can listen to it. I also feel like I understand a bit of the magic side more as techno babble is a lot more easier to get across as listening than reading down little text (In the LNs its generally a bit easier to get also) I think they overall got Touma pretty well, I was wondering how they were going to handle his casual misfortune bits since thats one of my favorite aspects about him, and it translated pretty well, I want to hear misaka some more in tsundere antics and everybody else is alright. I should also note I don't hate index's voice anymore, yeah some pieces are over acted but it holds up pretty decently in my book. can't wait to see how they handle accelerator and last order!
So far the dub is off to an excellent start. Touma sounds a little off but I'm sure I'll get used to it. Stiyl and Kanzaki's voices were awesome. If I buy the season or not is all going to come down to whether or not I like Accelerator's voice as he's my favourite character.
Does anybody know when more dubbed episodes will be released for non-subscription members?
That usually happens some time after the official release to disc, as far as I know.
Edit: And oh, hell... time to watch this again! I didn't realize they put out the whole season in dub online for subscribers! Thanks for bringing that up, I would have missed it!

Tantei's FTW
Um....she doesn't sound the least bit masculine.
And considering said little boy was being voiced by an actress in the first place.....eh, I don't really want to go into it.
Anyway, saw the first four episodes. And the great talents at Funi have done it for me again.
For the performances I liked....well, I'd actually have less work (i.e. none at all) listing performances I didn't like.
There are moments I'm really looking forward to when future episodes are finally viewable.

No problem be sure to report back on how good Accelerator's voice is.
Rest of the season 1 cast too, please.
